IMO, right now both are contributing a lot more in Indiana than JO is (or ever will) here.

We got hosed.

I'll admit, Rasho wasnt doing fuck all when he was here but maybe if we would have fired Smitch last year like we were supposed to....

It's the roster 1st! Period. We are way too thin at the 2/3/Backup PG postions to be a mojor player in a much improved East.

To say JO will never give us anything is naive. You saw the momentum he was gaining before the NJ game and i am confident it will return as he gets back his conditioning. It's far too early to judge this trade as a bad one... and it's foolish to try.

I said this when the deal went down. We would have been better off Trading T.J for an upgrade at the 2 or 3 and kept our draft pick and drafted a big. Therefore our centre position would have Bargs/Rasho/Pick (young big).

That being said, i like JO on this team and i want him here but something needs to be done about the lack of talent surrounding Bosh/JO/Jose/Bargs. Because the rest of the roster beyond those 4 players is weak.

what you're saying doesn't make a lot of sense if you look at things long term. The trade for JO gives you a lot more flexibility and hopefully we can get a star player at the 2/3 which imo is absolutely necessary to get to a title. It's extremely hard to win a title if you don't have a start big man and a star winger, and there is no way TJ gets you anything close to stardom in return. Best case scenario you get somebody like Outlaw, and even that might have been out of reach for us.

I love JO's defensive presence and swagger but the dude is simply a black hole on offense. You'd think he would learn not to take consecutive 18 foot fadeaways but he just isn't. All in all, hindsight is 20/20 so i guess we can't complain considering the positives he has generated.

Rasho had an excellent sense of humour, apparently. I think he was pretty efficient as well. Didn't take stupid shats and knew his role.

Yes, Rasho was very well liked in the locker room and played adequate defense.

Hosed? Oh really, whatever Rasho and TJ are contributing to the Pacers is not enough to lift them out of the basement in the central and J.O is contributing 12.4 ppg and 8.3 rpg for the Raps and then their is all the stuff on the defensive end that doesn't show up on stat sheets like altering shots etc.

I really like Rasho he was a good player band hopefully he come back next year. Seriously though JO is way better than him and with TJ leaving it has opened up space for Caldy who I think will be a really good player

rasho is a great guy - but let's face it, he's no JO and will never ever be. He's a good defender, very smart, and has a nice jumper. On the other hand, he's pretty slow, has 0 inside presence and won't attract a double team even if he had a career night. And while he's a fairly decent shot blocker, he's not even close to JO in that area.
