Raptors Wade out for All-Star Game?

If Wade can't play who gets the first call?

Affalo? Lowry? Stephenson?

Miami Heat without Dwyane Wade again, this time for foot - ESPN

Lowry

Apparently he was barely beat out by JJ.

In the end it's Silver's call if Wade doesn't play. I would think that he would pick Lowry because of the tight race for the last spot between him and Joe Johnson, but anything is possible.

It would be either Lowry or Stephenson and both are worthy

I love Stephenson but Lowry has been far more consistent on the offensive end of the floor.
Stephenson has some big trip dubs and stellar D but Lowry has been a beast night in and night out.

Lowry is absolutely deserving, but I would prefer Silver to pick Stephenson, so Lowry can rest up for the stretch run. That's far more important to the team, and I'm guessing, Lowry would probably feels the same way.

i hoping Klow is already sitting on a beach somewhere with his family sipping on a few Mai Tais
and when he gets the call he gives them the finger over the phone...then goes back to relaxing and enjoying the time off

We went from a team desperately needing a break to sending possibly 4 of our 5 starters over to ASW.... smh....

The only guy that is going to the all star game (Lowery can be included in this) that needs rest is JV. He is just about completely outta gas. Ross, Demar and Lowery all look good (compared to JV), and don't forget this is a exhibition game so its no where near as demanding as a regular season game. All 3 guys will still be relaxing in New Orleans, with some spirited fun stuff in-between.

Yeah, I think I heard JV is playing the Friday night game then going to Hawaii or something for the weekend to relax on the beach.

Lowry also said he had plans to lay on the beach.

Here is a little tid bit about Joe Johnson the All Star:

Johnson went on a hot run about a month ago when he was racking up a ton of points and solid production across the board during a seven-game streak, but hasn't done much since. He's scored exactly eight points in three of his last four games, and hit double figures in scoring in just three of his last nine games. He'll get hot again at some point, but it's hard to call him a must-own player at this point. And yes, a guy who has scored eight points in three of his last four games is an All-Star.

The NBA: The only league in the world, where a players name and past performances make him an all-star.....

It would put Lowry into the starting lineup too, yes? That would be pretty hard to turn down, especially in a contract year.

If not Lowry in the starting lineup, any chance Derozan gets bumped up to the starting lineup, given how well he's played of late?

Comissioner decides who replaces injured players. Coach decides who plays instead of injured starter.

I.e. probably wont be DD and even if Lowry would be there, he wouldnt start most likely.

And Joe Johnson, sad.

It would be just like Wade to go to all-star anyway. How many more kicks at the can is he going to get?

And how are LeBron and Wade supposed to whisper in T Ross and JV's ears to join the Heat ASAP as dirty work players if Wade is not there.
