Unhappy Vince Carter's returns 04 & 09 not the least bit impressive

Vince Carter has been traded twice and for an 8 time All-star, slam dunk champion, rookie of the year he's brought back some of the worst returns in NBA history for a player of his caliber.

Players Raptors/Nets combined have received for VC (NOT INCLUDING DRAFT PICKS):

Aaron Williams,Eric Williams,Alonzo Mourning,Rafer Alston,Courtney Lee,Tony Battie!

Not the least bit impressive to say the least, not a star in the bunch. Alonzo Mourning was no longer a star when he was quired for VC and din't even play a game in Toronto anyway.

all those guys put together, even including the guys we got for the picks, aren't worth vince. it shows you what teams are willing to do when they want to cut out something that is rotting them from the inside, either financially or morale-wise...

Honestly we should of got R.J for him in 04.
But everyone knew he wanted out, which kinda decreased his value.

I think NJ walked away really well from the trade. Getting Courtney Lee was a coup for Thorn. Having him and Devin Harris in the backcourt, makes them insanely quick and there's potential to grow into one of the better defensive backcourts.

I'm trying to figure out why Orlando decided to give up on Lee that quickly.

They might have suspected that they were losing Hedo either way and decided to upgrade from Lee to Vince.

I'm guessing he's implying Bosh wants out, which he has never stated publically. Which is not comparable at all to the VC situation. Makes no sense.Carter was very public about wanting out of Toronto.

But does that really solve their hole at SF then? They upgraded their SG position in the short term. I'd always be weary dealing a young player to Thorn. Always.

Pietrus will probably play the 3.

I like Lee's game and I think this deal is better for NJ in the long-term.

The best return for Carter was probably before anyone knew what he would be: when he was swapped with the Wiz for Jamison.
