regardless on how he left the team, it'd be embarrassing if we retired his number. he really hasn't accomplished anything of significance throughout his career.

There's a small chance I may change my mind ten years down the road, but I think we shouldn't retire his number. Loyalty is pretty big.

I'm not sure if it's like the MLB, but I would have asked Vince if he was selected to the Hall of Fame, would he go in with the Raptors jersey?

i know the question is a hypothetical, but even as such it's such an impossible scenerio that i can't even get my mind around it.

But i know what you're getting at and i will say that his best days and his biggest impact on the league were when he was a raptor.

they're always missing the point, nobody hates vince because they think he hates the city

but i think if he got into the hall of fame he'd go in with a Raptors jersey, its where he became Vinsanity, Half-Man Half-Amazing, etc., its where he got his FAME and reason to be in the hall of fame
he did nothing special in NJ to really give reason to go in with that jersey, with the magic he went to the finals but really didn't accomplish anything there or make a name for himself there and many can argue he wasn't even "that good" by then, and with the suns and mavs its too recent or little time to be known as a hall of famer from either of those franchises

1. They talked about Politics for at least half the interview.
2. What the fuck man, the guy was eloquent, honest, completely honest and humble about his past, and flat out positive about all things Toronto and idiot people still want to literally hate him. I really find that sad and dysfunctional. I hated that he started to wimp out when he was here, but as a grown man, I agree with him, people are allowed to move from jobs, make mistakes you name it, in EVERY other profession, but oh boy, leave a sports team, well hey, you'r the scum of the planet. Fanatics are ridiculous and sad. Best years I had being a fan were because of this guy (and Damon too). Damned if I'm gonna hate the guy at this stage...he fucking rocked the house.

I started watching basketball when Carter had the talks of being the next Jordan. It sucks how after all these years ppl still hold a grudge against him. But Im over that now and would actually welcome him back in a Raptors uniform. Was upset about the way he left but since then with all the interviews he loved the city and playing here and all. Still wished he stayed with the Raps though

not likely. mlse purchased the raptors, not an owner who had the intensions of relocating the team.

I enjoyed the interview,he was down to earth and mature. YES his number should be retired,despite how it ended. He's the symbol of the greatest franchise accomplishments to date for an NBA organization with little to no history of success.

If VC gets close to the HOF or his number is considered for retiring, both awards will be watered down.

VCs problems in T.Dot stem from the team wanting him to be a leader, which he is not. He listens to his mother who always had ulterior motives. He had unworldly talents (yes, more than MJ) but never had the drive or determination to win. He was a talented floater.

Thats not gets you into HOFs or gets your jersey retired.
