Right , here I go.
People are expecting WAY too much from JV , you're not going to get a future all star , maybe another Milicic but that's about it. I see a lot of people praising him and all that , but how many of you actually followed his career so far? Excluding international competition. Also, 2nd pick this year after Davis? Seriously?

I'm lithuanian , so I've known about him since he was 16ish. watched him play and develop over the years. In Lithuania he's been on TV more times than the fucking President, he's everywhere, he's a by product of the media. And now that he's going to the NBA this shit has gone international. Don't get me wrong , I have nothing against the kid personally , frankly I want to see him succeed and become a great player , the lithuanian NT need a good center badly , but this guy is going to be a MAJOR flop. He can't play , he's weak , his basketball IQ is that of Kwame Brown and he's awkward on the court. He might be athletic but that's about it. He looked promising when he played in his own age group because he's tall and he can jump. He's not going to do well against the NBA bigs. He's gona get pushed , shoved and thrown about the place. He had trouble playing against the bigs here in Europe, it's going to be embarrassing to watch him play at the highest level.

He's a good guy , he tries hard and always gives 100%. Unfortunately his best is not good enough to play in the NBA. Sorry to disappoint, Canada, ya hooser!

opinions change man. I was in the same boat as most of you, excited after seeing him play in his own age group. But he can't play with men.

well, don't blame anyone for expecting too much, when you played a part in raising those expectations.

From twice as good as Pau, to maybe another Milicic is a hell of a swing.

Yeah, i think i'll just watch for the next 2-3yrs and see how he does and not take your word for it right now.

By all means. Nobody hopes for him to be good as much as we do, and I know what I said last year. I was caught up in all the hype , same as everybody else.

I watched him play against kids his own age and then against men last year. Mistakes happen , opinions change. He isn't going anywhere.

That's funny, other Lithuanians who have watched him over the years think the opposite. Guess we'll have to wait and see. I would assume we'll give him time to developpe and not judge him in his first couple months.

If you ever believe in the concept of "Learning Curve", you should wait before your judgement. If his Basketball IQ is low, you can still expect Javale McGee, the dumbest, out of him. I would say McGee type of center is still good.

The combination of Athleticism and Length is what Raptors was looking for and we finally found the piece. Think about our Center players from last year.

Amir - Athletic and SMALL
Gray,Magloire - Big and Slow

At least, from spec-wise, we got a decent piece
