If Bargs was making even half of his three-point shots there would be a lot less to complain about, I tell you that.

Well Duh?

EVEN half?

Yeah a 50 3PT% would ease our pain, i'll agree there.

very good article, I totally agree, we need to star JV of the bench and keep Bargnani for 48 minutes per game to make Lowry's life easier.

No sarcasm, with one exception - Bargnani gets 5 shots per game limit.

If Quincy Acy would just play like an MVP candidate we'd win some games. Why is Quincy so damn lazy?

I think JV will still play the same minutes but he will be matched up against the other teams bench. Good move.

JV is a massive liability for us, he's bringing virtually nothing, mediocre rebounding, average shot blocking and no offensive presence at all. Unfortunately, Amir has gone in the toilet too this season, so I'm not sure starting him will make any difference.

The correct move would have been move AB to center and start Davis at PF. Lowry/Pietrus/Demar/Davis/AB is our best lineup and we should be riding that for 35+ mpg to have a shot to win games. JV can get his 20 mpg off the bench and Amir can go to DL for all I care.

vs sacramento:

Bargnani: 3 boards and 14 shots in 27 minutes
Amir: 4 boards and 1 shot in 31 minutes
JV: 3 boards and 4 shots in 18 minutes
Davis: 11 boards and 10 shots in 23 minutes

Amir and JV don't even attempt to shoot and their rebounding is just barely better than Andrea's. Amir's defense comes and goes, usually being out and JV is consistently bad and is abused by basically every center in the league. Not sure how can you justify more PT for either of these two.

Quit the koolaid and stick to milk...

Who cares if he is a "massive liability"?

Not like we are winning right now. I'd rather lose and keep losing because this season is basically in the toilet. Lets aim for a top 3 pick and develop JV. Give him and Ross as much mins as possible.

Let Bargs come off the bench (if he isn't tradeable yet) as a 6th man. Let Davis start with JV and split mins with Ross/Derozen/Pietrus at the 2/3 spots.

Valanciunas better still get the same amount of minutes or more. With our record this bad, it's better to have him play through the tough matchups and hopefully it can expedite his development.

How about a legit counter argument.

If JV was traded to another team would you still support the raptors? Honest question..

Um ... Is that a trick question?

As for JV's development, playing 20 minutes off the bench against players who don't crush him with superior strength will probably better. You don't HAVE to start a player who is not ready, just get him minutes and, more importantly, let him earn them.

Bargs is Dirk in Casey's system, but he doesn't have the heart and JV is Tyson Chandler in Casey's system, but he's not ready.
