Friendly games count? If so the real challenge will be later this week against Russia and Spain.
Perhaps what is more important is that he solidified his spot on the NT. It's very unlikely that Petravicius or both of the twins stay over him. I can also see Delinkaitis being cut. |

wow
don't know what this means when it comes to the nba but his physical gifts are shocking, you wonder if he was in the ncaa how easily he would have dominated considering he is playing against grown men now if you can dream of player that can get Bargs going are even playing a little harder it would be this guy if this guy is going balls to the walls Bargs can't coast otherwise on the offense jonas will get more touches because he plays defense well and can finish, he's already better than bargs, davis, and amir put together i'm the biggest Bargs homer, and let him skate along because of his scoring and his talent does give him a pass in other areas, but if things don't change when it comes to rebounding and playing with effort, then i won't be dissapointed if he gets dealt after this season but i do have to say these two players are polar opposites and could see them playing off each other perfectly, and Bargs does fit well with derozan who cant and never will shoot 3s, so at least Bargs brings that threat which is under rated when it comes to open up the floor remember last year we had the second youngest roster in the league, i never heard of a successful young team, it takes time, this team is different from the rebuilding teams of hte past where we virtually had nothing, like last time we only had Bosh for three years until Bargs came around now we got a young core group and tradeable players Last edited by rapsmannn; 08-09-2011 at 04:30 AM. |

IF he puts his ordinary 8/6 agaisnt Spain, it would be great.
Czech Republic was a weak opponent. Now they not even in FIBA division A!!!!! Their best known player in the last decade was Jiří Welsch... Best in todays squad, veteran Luboš Bartoň. Nothing fancy.... And they definitely has no NBA talent. In the other hand, Jonas still was the best man on the floor... He played only against Czechs, but just the rest of them. I mean all Lithuanians played against Czech republic, but no one dominated. Jonas with some good signs, considering it was a week draft, he looks more than decent. If draft was today, he may be a top pick, at least Givony thinks that way. |

It will show more when he plays against better competition, but dropping 26 and 11 should in no way be 'expected.' |

It's true... i can't argue with that Dan.
Like i said i am impressed with Jonas. From what i am learning about him in this short time, i guess i am now holding him to a higher standard. probably shouldn't though. |

I think the obvious point is that 3 weeks ago people here were wondering if he could crack the roster, let alone play. Um. Ya. |

Šarūnas Jasikevičius - ''Our pick and roll duo with Jonas may won't work so effective next time. I respect Czech Republic team, but they lack talent and awareness. Players were sagged off on me, when I called pick and rolls and used screens. I had plenty of time and a lot of space just to stop, look around and think what to do next. Thats why everything went smoothly.''
