What's up forum, I wanted to clear some things up about Jonas. First of all, in the recent interview JV said that he wants to play in the Nba right away if the team will want him to, but still there is a buyout issue which doesn't depend from his desires. I believe that if Raptors really want to see him play next season they might be able to make that happen. Second, I have to agree that Jonas is very raw, but believe me he isn't afraid of hard work and he was improving really rapidly in the past few years. What he needs now is good personal trainers who will help him work on his offensive/defensive game and his body, and Nba would be the best place for that. In the next few years I can't see Raptors getting into playoffs, so I don't see why Jonas wouldn't be able to get some playing time. He'll get pushed around at first but he ain't afraid of that and he won't break down mentally because he has got a spirit of a fighter. I can't remember when I saw such big man talent in Lithuania since Sabonis and Ilgauskas.
Btw his English ain't that good now, but he got some basics, and he should speak fluently after few months living in Canada.

instead of going with dark knight or sky walker, the Raps went with V for Vendetta, guess we gotta wait 5 years and see.

Pffft... the guy calls him a PF and that he'll have to "guard guys like Chris Bosh". I think the NBA scouts and GMs have a pretty good handle on him and many have rated him higher than Kanter and suggest he has the best chance to be an all-star Center. I don't think I've seen anyone rank him below Biyombo.

Have a look at a few other tapes and you will see that his is plenty athletic. And he is incredibly long. He dunks, tips, blocks and rebounds effortlessly.

Now, that's a different kind of soup altogether, a cold one at that.

yeah like he said tho there are other videos that show him doing better pick and rolls. but still i think we just give this guy a chance... like we know he wont join for a year or two which is okay since there is a lockout. hopefully he will grow to be good... but still im not sold on this pick either

He is flying to Lithuania tomorrow.
what i see when watching this video is BC defending himself with his choice it seems like he feels the pressure and he's shaking in his boots...

he mentions how everyone is texting him and phoning him and the staff "excellent pick" but I always thought he didn't care about what people say. its just odd he mentions that.

I doubt very much BC is shaking anywhere, least of all his boots (again, I doubt he's ever worn anything but loafers).

Seriously, though, of course a bunch of fans out there would text and e-mail him extolling the virtues of Knight or Walker and promising to lynch him tomorrow. Does he care? No, but he did have a shout-out to them, of course.

I still think that BC and Casey are going to do something to get a veteran center like Kurt Thomas. Roy Hibbert is probably too much of a fantasy.

JV plays as hard as he can, Ed Davis tries to get 40 double-doubles, Derozan tries to become an all-star. Raps could be a fun team to root for next year.

i donno. he looks worried in this conference... he's feeling the pressure. usually hes real confident, but i just dont see him confidence in this.

the reporters called him out like someone already mentioned " didn't you say that last year?" he knows he messed up, he knows he made a mistake. he's just trying to sell it to the media. sorry not working. Of course he's going to say, good things about his choice...but when he said " This is the pick that everyone is going to look back and say THAT was a great pick" this is the end of the Bryan Colangelo career because in 3 years, he will be fired.

watch the Part 2 of the conference. He's getting fired at with no mercy
