lol at that top 3. Jonas, Kaukenas and Motiejunas... That must be the worst class ever for this award.
i mean current quality.
usually those are Euroleague MVP contenders and a decent NBA player or two. once in a while a marginal NBA star.
what a year.

Man, I can't wait 'till next season! This dude is going to be a great player for us. Having a solid playmaking PG (even Caldy wouldn't be bad) will be vital in progressing the development of Val since he loves the pick and roll play so much.

On a side note, I read a rumour on real GM saying we might trade Barbosa for Ebanks (from the Lakers). I think that actually would be a good trade for us in the long run. He's an Ariza type of player and has great potential to be not only an elite perimeter defender like Azira, but also to be an offensive threat to go along with it.

PG - future PG
SG - DeRozan
SF - Ebanks
PF - Ed Davis
C - Valanciunas

In the future (3-4 years) from now, I think Bargs will be gone or on the bench

C'mon you guys.....the way he is playing, even if his shot drops off a little you don't trade a guy that can create for himself, makes your offence better for others, improving on defence AND is only paid 10mil per. You don't get 7'ers like that. He's miles ahead to Ed Davis and would be a better compliment to JV IMO.

EXACTLY!! with the way he's playing this is the perfect time to trade him. i didn't say i want him gone, i said i wouldn't be surprised.
what have people kept saying in previous years? "trading Bargnani now is stupid. his stock is low that we wouldn't get fair value in return. wait until he plays better and then trade him, etc etc"
we'll isn't this what most people asked for last year? but now because of a hot start he's untouchable?

You're making sense panda... but you do realize that Bargnani isn't getting traded, right? lol

You keep talented 7 footers and trade dime-a-dozen 6'8"ers.

back to V

i'm no expert when it comes to X's and O's of basketball...but i can recognize talent
imho V has excellent speed and athleticism for a kid his size...i'm really looking forward to see him matched up with AB

Well I was in the minority and I want him to stay because he has talent and it's coming together. He always was untouchable since he's been here - even when BC stated no one is safe on the roster - it was all motivational. Between that and Casey and that hot girlfriend/celebrity status in Italy he has discovered sure has put that skillset to good use.

Bargs will be awesome with JV

those are extremely high expectations. Jonas is kind of one dimensional right now. so is Bargs. I wouldn't expect miracles next year from that pairing.
but long term, there's hope.
Jonas has to develop some sort of back to the basket game, get much better at boxing out, get stronger. Certainly improve defensively all around. And also the passing issue --- Jonas tunnel visions, Bargs tends to do the same (or rather used to until this year, hopefully he keeps this up), something's got to give.
You need a Hakeem if you want a perfect fit for Bargs.

but of course, if you have to make a choice between Ed Davis and current Bargs, it's Bargs all the way.

what I would love to see.... is a Jonas pairing with one of Robinson/Davis from 2012 draft. Strong, high energy. Davis can defend almost anyone anywhere like a young KG, Robinson is a big more Noah like, back to the basket, bigger but can also move around and defend pretty much any kind of forward.
Either of those pairings could become the highest energy, best defensive frontcourts in the NBA.
Well, but that's all 'ifs'.
For now, I don't see any reason to shop Bargs unless you get more talent in return.
