USA Vs China

9 three pointers in 15 minutes. China is lucky those are going in.

BTW Is the American coach there for something. Does he make any plays or give any directions?

Dr. J. Naismith 08-10-2008 11:59 AM

China kept it interesting but the Americans are pulling away now. China's players are sooooo tired. Not to mention their so thin in the back court.

Anyhow, Bosh is playing fantastic on both ends of the floor. He's been doing a decent job on Yao too. :clapping:

Bosh makes this look gooood...

Hey, long time reader, first time poster...

I'm just watching the China/USA game, I don't think it is live as it would be very late in China, but nonetheless entertaining [I don't know who wins, almost half time].

Bosh is looking good on the floor, I turn it on, all I see is Bosh dunk. Looks like he is having a solid game, contributing, defending and making plays. Did he start? And they got him defeding Yao Ming! :dancing:

It's is live Momo. It's 11pm in China they are playing that late.

BTW, welcome to RF and I'm going to merge this post with the "China vs. USA" thread. :)

I was impressed with China's outside shooting in the 1st half, but now their shots are missing so US is feasting on dunks.

Bosh looks great out there, too bad they took him out for Booozerr

No, D12 started and Bosh came into the game about 5 or 6 minutes in the first quarter. Coach K is doing quick subs to keep the guys fresh. Something that USA have the luxury of doing.

Im never impressed with the playgound close international 3s, one of the big reasons lesser teams can stay close, just put a bunch of shooters on, bring the line to NBA length so it takes more skill plz!!

LeBron is NASTY!

Torontosaurus 08-10-2008 12:18 PM

Nice put-back by Yi

Thats a highlight for China although US has so many already

Yup, as was Kobe and Wade. All three played some wicked help defense and created alot of turnovers.

Ugo Ferst 08-10-2008 12:23 PM

How come in international ball Yao puts his whole name on the back of the jersey, damn non comformist :P

theres much more three point shooting in the NBA than in the international game.

Weird, cuz from what ive seen when the usa plays, teams drop alot of 3s on them, all the time.

Momo26 08-10-2008 12:32 PM

Lowish blow: "I don't know if that's good, that means he was playing on a team with a lot of misses." >.<

Belsius 08-10-2008 12:32 PM

international game is much more about mid range game and shooting. The thing is that the USA phisical abilities make teams prefer shooting from the outside in this games.

likely true, i still think the closer line is silly, guess it made sense when it was truely amatuers playing in the olympics, but not anymore. Get the real NBA 3 goiung and USA wont win by 20, they will win by 35!!

Superjudge 08-10-2008 12:53 PM

I wnder if NBA guys find a difference in the ball size or weight. They seem to miss a lot of shots a little long.

probably not, but it seems so.

Bosh was great.

Rebounding, hustle plays, fairly good defense against a much bigger Yao, a couple of nice putbacks...

Apollo 08-10-2008 02:07 PM

Bosh was the best big man on the floor during this game. This might be his answer to the critics.

For tonight, I wholeheartedly agree, but up against a 75% Yao (still struggling with injuries right now) and an overrated Yi is nothing to brag about. But yes, I do think he played a better game than Howard did. :)
