China did pretty well, just ran out of gas, but the thing that was kind of disheartening was to see their reactions after USA dunks. All of their heads would hang after a dunk, like somebody had just been shot. Guys, it's just 2 points. Get the ball going back the other way and beat that full court press.

Yep, Bosh played quite well.

Americans not named Redd still can't hit a three to save their lives.

I think Bosh was the only player who didn't play streetball on USA. He did a pretty good job today. Lebron also owned today.

BTW, I'm just watching the repeat of the USA vs. China game but the CBC feed this time and I kind of like Jay Triano as a colour commentator. He sounds alot like Bill Walton. His voice that is, not his wisdom.

Romanuk was absolutely awful in the 3 quarters I watched. His punchlines after dunks were horrendous and his info was way off and had to be corrected by Triano too many times. Triano was smooth with da mic, I like his commentary. He has a career past coaching fo shizzo.

Broadcasting is old hat for Triano.

He worked on the radio for the Grizzlies games.

BTW I love the refereeing in FIBA. They let a ton of plays go in regards to block/charge and they let them play a lot more physical out there, and on top of that, the players dont seem to be complaining that much when they dont get a call, are they quick on the tech whistles or something? The NBA needs to learn in this one aspect.

Tim Duncan disagrees :P And he is far from a complainer imo

Its pretty annoying to see how the let the americans walk all the time though.

But yeah the two games I have seen so far the refereing hasnt been that bad.

There are only 5 fouls available and techs are counted as personals.

Have you ever watched Duncan in the NBA? He complains after every call with his arms out and eyes bulging out of his head. Hes one of the more annoying complainers in the league.

He was right in that instance that he was screwed, but again, hes never committed a foul in the NBA.

I dont like the 5 foul aspect of FIBA, but the rest is solid. Having 2 fts awarded after a tech would get the players to STFU.
