Wow...I thought he would have softened his stance on that front by now.

Sources say Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo has shown no willingness to part with Bargnani, but if pressure mounts for him to bolster the team's youth movement and win now by adding a veteran with All-Star credentials like Gasol, that could change. CBSSports.com
This only matters if he received a decent offer. It's entirely possible that those "sources" are executives or "employee leaks" from other teams that offered steaming poop in exchange for Bargnani. I doubt Colangelo is getting quality offers right now.

what if we swung a Calderon to lal and gasol to toronto that kept Bargnani in the 416 while still giving d'antoni a stretch four that could excel in his system:

LA gets: jose, amir, klieza, fields
TO gets: gasol, ebanks, morris

we sit gasol as long as it takes for him to get healthy and get a lot more minutes for davis and even acy in the meantime. pau might be able to help jonas without being on the floor in gametime. and when he gets back, the team's 4/5 rotation is really intriguing. pau's ability to score might light a fire under bargs.

la get its pointguard, and guys that could explode in their system. klieza might get back to his international play, amir can mimic amare's running game and adds a nice roll element, nc on fields.

I'm sorry, did you have a better explanation for Colangelo's man love of Bargnani? No? Yeah I didn't think so either.

The Sandusky Theory is currently the best theory to explain the events that are transpiring. Just scientific method at work.
