I think we found the guy who threatened to kill Jose on Twitter lol....seriously though,Calderon is not a cancer(hate that comparison btw). He may have endured some losing but he plays hard and is a good teammate. Oh yea,Blake makes a little less than half of what Jose does this season but that's because Calderon is a little more than twice the player Steve is.

The one that got away,sigh...He possess all the skills TO needs at the 3 spot. He'd average 10 ppg off putbacks and fastbreaks alone.

The Raps need a guy like that now. He lead from example on the court and from the bench. Guys like him and Garbo, rugged game(dive for lose balls). It may sound evil but my favorite thing about Oak was how he punched chumps in their faces (Ty. Hill,Jeff McInnis,etc..),he set the tone.

I am scared to get gasol, because of his knee issue, last thing we need is someone who becomes horrible and injury prone, especially if it involves getting rid of Bargs and jose

There is no way we trade young stud Bargnani to that old fart Gasol. This team's goal is to gather young talents and make them grow into contender.

There is no place for anyone over 30 in Raptors nearest vision

Creates propaganda videos in order to drive a wedge to help him out personally against another player, team's been awful since he got signed to a long term deal here and became the designated starter.

Just because he's a total suck up to the fanbase, doesn't mean he's not a cancer. No one would want to play professional basketball with this guy.

Just a coincidence then that we've been awful since signing him to a long term deal? No one wants this me-first stat whore.

I'm really scared BC gives up Ross with Bargnani/Calderon for Pau. My god what a disaster that would be. I would quit the Raptors until BC got fired if he trades Ross for Pau

BC wouldn't even give up Bargs and Jose... and rightly so. It'd be a terrible deal for us.

Nahhh, i can't see him do that at all to be honest. I think Ross/Valanciunas are off limits with Derozan/Lowry close to being off limits as well. I truely believe though that BC would trade Bargnani, there were rumors prior to last season that he was fielding calls on Bargs and was open to dealing him. I would think that right now he's as expendable as he's ever been but not Ross.

Dumbest thing posted here in months. Congrats.

If we take Pau I;m not including Amir but making it a 3team deal and trading bargnani.

Lakers might better mask Andrea Bargnani's deficiencies | Basketball | CBC Sports

Quote:
Whether it actually happens or not, the talk about the Toronto Raptors trading Andrea Bargnani and Jose Calderon to the smashed-up, dysfunctional Los Angeles Lakers for Pau Gasol and a spare part at least provides entertaining talking points.

If Raptors president and general manager Bryan Colangelo is serious about moving Bargnani -- and there has never been any evidence whatsoever that he would be -- then the truth is this may be the best potential deal he'll ever get for him
Quote:
The concern on getting Gasol for the Raptors is his contract. He's still owed close to $40 million US over the next two seasons. There's also a trade kicker in his contract that raises the cap hit on his team next year. After that, however, it's 'Hello, cap space.'"

But all of this is speculation and hyperbole. I think it's fairly safe to say at this point that Gasol is going to be traded by the Lakers and Bargnani and Calderon should be traded by the Raptors. But will they get together? Unfortunately, there's still a good chance after all is said and done that L.A. doesn't want anything to do with the man known as Il Mago.

Lakers would say no to that, gasol to Bargnani is a massive downgrade, and 15 minutes of Jose won't compensate for that. They could get a lot more from Houston straight up, not sure if they even care to include us in the trade.
