I wouldn't be surprised if, after a lot of injuries, turmoil and a disappointing Bargs this team didn't get more than 45 wins, but 50 is probably right. That's obviously not enough for a team with a roster like this.

Is the NYK 2016 pick unprotected? If so, imagine Melo goes to LA. Getting a high lotto pick for Bargs would be epic. I'm still shocked teams send future 1sts in deals. Those picks always seem to turn into high pick and look like horrible deals for the teams that send the pick in the end.

You really believe that we'll get lucky and get a high pick for Bargnani? Highly doubtful....

We just never get lucky. And I still say Melo stays in NY.

2016 first round draft pick from New York
New York will convey the less favorable of its 2016 1st round pick and Denver's 2016 1st round pick to Toronto (via Denver's right to swap for New York) [Denver-Minnesota-New York, 2/22/2011 and then New York-Toronto, 7/10/2013]

In other words, both Denver and New York would have to have high picks, for that Raptors pick to be good.

It would be funny if Denver ends up with a high lotto Knicks pick (Ujiri's Carmelo trade) and the Raptors end up with a (slightly lower) Nuggets pick (Ujiri's Bargnani trade). Ujiri's double slap.

Do we have a shot at finishing higher than the New York Knicks?

Maybe. :mu:

Yeah, because everybody but me clearly predicted that this team would be pushing 50 wins

To be fair to KoolAid and other extremely intelligent people who predicted a bad season for the Raps (my esteemed self included), without the Knicks being absolute morons and turning down that Lowry deal, the tank was on hard.

And to be fair to the crazy fools who thought this team would be good, they were right. :jack:

It's weird, saying we were good with the Rudy team was wrong imo. Also I would like to go back and see if these same people that predicted this team to be good at the begining of the season with Rudy were saying we were trying to tank when the trade was made and that we'd suck? Wish we had taken a poll after the trade to see who thought MU was tanking..

We may even see foam fingers or Knicks beanie baby's get chucked on the court after a bad night.

it is unfortunate for NY that DEN gets their lotto pick this year...barring a miracle they will just keep losing for quite awhile...and when they are able to get good, the rest of the division will come of age

I'll clarify one for you... He was not trying to tank until he traded Lowry was what I had maintained.
