Yeah, there was no doubt that JONeal was an accomplished player! The question was his injuries! But - we do have 2 All-Stars on our team... I don't think Toronto ever had 2 legit all-stars... VC/Mcgrady? Nevertheless, 2 All-Stars, 2 Time 3-Point Champion, Point Guard with best Assist to Turn-Over ratio... is it October yet?

AD and VC were both All-Stars in 2001.

ACIE... LOL --- damn I forgot that... you are right... which center was injured that year that allowed AD to be an All-Star - do you remember?

convinced that Raptors fans are only happy when they're unhappy.

For some reason the name Theo Ratliff is coming to my mind.

Am I crazy?

Nope, it was Ratliff. He had injured his wrist and AD was named as his replacement.

Mutombo and Sprewell were added to the Eastern Conference squad to replace Mourning and Hill. Antonio Davis was added later to replace Ratliff who was injured after making the team.
2 Injuries allowed AD to be an allstar!

Yeah wasn't the year that the East went small in the 4th and just shot the lights out from beyond the arc to win a thriller?

The west was loaded with size - KG, TD, Shaq, etc and dominated early, but the east just played with nothing to lose and launched away. I remember Iverson, Marbury, and a few other guys playing great in the 4th.

Not only that but the East were down 21 at one point. Then in the 4th quarter AI and Marbury were just ripping it up. Kobe also had a lot of clutch shots as well. I love All-Star games because EVERY player on the team is a superstar and its fun.
