I watched Roko this morning as well. I would agree with the assessments here, although I don't think there was much to go on as far as decision-making went. He just went with the path of least resistance most of the time, moving in towards the paint and finding the open man once the defense broke down very easily. The level of competition just didn't allow me to figure out his mental game all that much. But I would say he was very business-like, looking more mature than in the past, and was quite quick to loose balls and rebounds.

Thats Rokos M/O

Always doing all he can to get into the paint and from there looking to either dish out to an open man or take the shot in which he is very effective at finishing. He is going to be a pretty good defender as well with those long arms and good speed.

Yep - I like those long arms. I hope he makes good use of them as well.

And to clarify what I was saying about his decision-making, the opposition just didn't really force him to make any real decisions, other than maybe taking one tough shot, which was really his only option, but he could have turned it over instead.

A comment on my initial comment about Roko's decision-making: I especially liked how fast he was passing the ball after taking possession under his own basket. He threw at least two long passes ahead to a running mate, both right on the money - something I'd like to see more of from the Raps and the NBA teams in general, rather than watching "slow dribbling up the court".

Roko played brutal yesterday. I don't know how I feel about this. I was happy to see Ukic playing in these qualifiers so he could play against some quality competition this summer, instead of the useless Summer League. Now, Croatia is going to the Olympics in Beijing.

Ukic is our backup PG, expected to play 82 games next season. He will already have to make that adjustment from the 30-or so games he's used to playing, per year, in Europe. I don't want him coming in with any stamina from the Olympic games. Anywho, good work by Croatia.

More updates on Dalembert and Leo courtesy of TSN;

Dalembert, who plays his professional basketball for the 76ers, told a Philadelphia area radio station on Friday that he remained confused as to why he was removed from the team.

He also refused to go into specific details, but he did take a swipe at Basketball Canada along the way.

"Now I see why it's been so difficult to get (NBA) guys to play for Canada," the Haitian-born, Montreal-raised Dalembert stated. "I'm disappointed. I know how to differentiate between business and pleasure. This is children's stuff. I don't throw people under the bus. I don't trash the coach."

They don't talk about everything that they are giving up."

Rautins was also upset at that Dalembert apparently felt as though Basketball Canada owed him some leeway due to the fact that he'd had a modicum of success at the NBA level.

"I think that is very hurtful and ignorant," Rautins said. "It's a slam on (Miami Heat and Canadian forward) Joel Anthony."

While Rautins was discouraged by Dalembert's words and actions, he would not rule out a return to the National team by Dalembert at some point in the future because the team invested a great deal of time and energy to get the paperwork done in time to allow him to play for Canada in the Olympic qualifiers.

"I hope so," Rautins told TSN. "I like Sam. I think Sam's a good guy and we went to great lengths to get Sam."

Uhhh...yeah...

He thinks Sam is going to come back and play because Canada Basketball invested a great deal of time in him?

"So what if I got kicked off the team at a critical time and had my reputation damaged across North America? These guys helped me out with my paperwork man. Took them quite a while. I mean, they may have put in somewhere close to as much time and effort as I did to make me Canadian. Of course I'll play for them again."

Not bloody likely
