Anyway, here's a list of some of the "unwanted" picks:

Josh Heytvelt - Gonzaga
Paul Harris - Syracuse
Dionte Christmas - Temple
Jerel McNeal - Marquette
Chris Johnson - LSU
Courtney Fells - NC State
Tyrese Rice - Boston College
Leo Lyons - Missouri
Jeff Adrien - Connecticut
Curtis Jerrells - Baylor
Eric Devendorf - Syracuse
Shawn Taggart - Memphis
Jeremy Pargo - Gonzaga
Ben Woodside - North Dakota State
A.J. Abrams - Texas
Josh Shipp - UCLA
Alex Ruoff - West Virginia
Andrew Lovedale - Davidson

I really wanted Jeff Adrien, I like his game.

He could easily play the SF even though he was assigned PF in College, decent stats of 13 and 11.
He would've been a great 8 or 9th man coming off the bench if we can't resign most of our boys back.

So the bench would look like this (without our FAs):

Evans/POB
Hump/Jawai
Adrien
(no SGs )
Ukic/Douby

Abrams can really put the ball in the basket, it's too bad he never developed as a point guard. A 5'11" shooting guard just won't work in the NBA.

I can see teams showing some serious interest in Jerel McNeal and Jeff Adrien too.

JJ Barea?
He plays the 2 sometimes when coming off the bench.

and he's 5'11.

no fuck, Wikipedia proved me wrong.

he's 6'0, but Earl boykins plays a good 2 cause of his shooting skill and he's 5'3.

Problem that sorta is stuck to my head is "why didn't these guys get drafted?"

ya but, you have to think that gilbert arenas, manu ginobli, michael redd they could have easily been undrafted. but, they weren't and look at them now.

Yea, Probably the reason why these guys didn't get drafted is probably the economy today.

If we can get Adrien or Christmas for dirt cheap, then I wouldn't argue.

the thing is this draft was considered to be really weak, so if you didn't get drafted in this draft then its a pretty good chance you really aren't that good
so if you're going to sign a young FA then why go into the weak rookie pool and take chances on potential when you can just get an NBDL type player that you know more about their skills or some overseas player that you can watch play high level bball

a lot of teams pick based on potential
some players out of African contries and no so great European prospects that never set foot on an NBA court
