Davis for Carter? Wow, I had never heard of that one. Baron had his own durability issues at the time as well. I remember the Ray Allen for Carter rumours (which they should have taken - Allen LOVES Toronto) as well as Iverson for Carter (although I'm not sure how serious that one was).

If only the guy played with heart, he could have really been one of the all-time greats.

Ohh you're right...Ray Allen was out there too. Good memory.

I mean, it's just emberassing how clearly that deal was orchestrated just to get rid of Vince. Toronto received literally nothing of value, yet most fans were still happy about the trade.

That's hatred.

At its finest Swag. Good riddance to the douchebag named Vince Carter.

I would rather have sex with a cheese grater than trade for Vince Carter.

Heh.

You'd all be yanking your whangs 3 weeks into the season if vince was averaging 25, and the team was 12-0.

Don't kid yourselves.

Whats his playoff legacy look like so far? All I see is a guy with immense talent but no desire, no heart and no toughness. Go ask the Nets how far you get with flashy high maintenance players. Shit, go ask Glen Grunwald the same thing. If I were going to trade those three guys I would bring in a team guy who is tough and who would offer leadership. 25PPG in the regular season means nothing if it vanishes after a few hard hits in the playoffs.

I dunno.

I'm fairly certain the Nets did just fine with him as a team member in the playoffs.

Just didn't win it all.

He sure as hell handed the Raptors thier asses a few times though didn't he.

Put your emotions aside children.

Its business.

Vince Carter is better than Anthony Parker.

Position Improved.

seeing as how the nets really wanted to trade him and have failed kinda implies one thing; he's not wanted!
a) he makes too much money
b) he doesnt contribute anything to a teams locker room.
c) he has the heart of a scared little rat.
d) he's lost his respect around the league and he's declining.
we could do so much better IMO.

Not at all.

I would strongly consider choosing another favorite team entirely. If Raptors management brought back Vince Carter, that would be a tremendous "fuck you" to any fan that has been following the team since 2000.

I am a huge fan of many of the players on the Nets, yet they remain my least favorite team in the NBA for no other reason than they continue to provide Vince Carter with a paycheque.

I honestly hate the man with a passion.

Postition improved based solely on talent. Yes.

But would the team actually improve based on that all important chemistry issue? I wouldn't see it because it seems that on the court Bosh and Carter don't get along and if there's one thing I realize about NBA ball is egos are hard to put aside and when guys don't get along on the court it becomes pretty visible.

Put my emotions aside?

What's the point of being a fan then?

We're not all cold, basketball consuming robots

And yes, it is business. If someone fucks your business over, you stop doing business with them. I sure would, anyway.

Doesn't matter if he's better than Parker, the Raptors are a better team with Parker and the other guys they would have to give up to get Carter. The Nets went no where in the playoffs. Kidd did his best in jersey long before Carter ever thought of leaving the Raps. Come on now, we of all people should be able to remember how soft Carter is. Soft guys rarely have playoff success in this league.

Ahhh the "Golden Shower". And if they were German, they might be turned on by that.

NJ had Kidd/VC/RJ, but were horrible in the frontcourt. Furthermore, putting Kidd and Carter didn't really work because scorers like Carter usually work better with a guy who can shoot (ie Fisher, Gibson, etc.), and Kidd couldn't.

Caldy/Carter/Moon/Bosh/JO would be much much stronger than what NJ had.

No.

And there has to be a dozen better "would you" questions.

Like just for starters - would you have sex with a dead goose to win a date with Vanna White?
