Well the vid says he can only spot and shoot, as soon as he dribbles his shot is terrible, he's weak with the ball - easily stripped-, can't make the simple passes, high T/O cause his passes aren't accurate, doesn't handle well enough (takes one swipe and it's a T/O.), as soon as he has to shoot open shots after the dribble, he can't make them. It seems all it takes is him to handle the ball on a half court set to get him off his game, a PG who when he's not spotting up is his weakness? Thought the point for a PG was to dribble, make accurate passes, to run the offence and also be able shoot off the dribble if left open(Guess Rondo is the only exception, but atleast he can finish at the rim... guess he can develop but I mean what are we getting out of him RIGHT NOW?). Apparently he's only went up against weak opponents as well...

All you need is a pg to get up on him to dribble, and be quick enough to back up and force him to take a jumper, open or not.

I should also clarify that I don't really know him that well. If you've watched him and you think he's better than I 'assume' he is, I'll take your word for it.
I like him as a prospect, but i agree with you when it comes to weak opponents. He plays in a shitty team in the very weak German league. I'm far from being sold on him

I strongly suggest you to edit this post.

I'm not into censorship, but I am calling out your racial bias in this post. I'm surprised you didn't find the obscure and marginal players from Ujiri's home country. Proof read and develop a filter for your awkwardness.

I think Dieng is a great guy for us to target, and he probably has been a guy that MU has looked at with great interest.

Are you being serious? Or is this just a joke? If it is I don't get it, sorry.

I am not going to respond, because I am assuming this is some sort of inside joke that I am missing as I am not a regular poster.

If you are a moderator I will absolutely edit the message, but never was anything racial implied.nor do I understand your post.

I don't know why he called it racist. I don't see anything wrong with it. That's like calling it racist to assume I follow Andrew wiggins because I'm Canadian. I know that's not actually racist but that's how he put it. Your post is fine dude.

Agreed. It seems like he has more potential than what Gray brings to us, just wonder what the price would be for a Mid 1st Round draft pick.

there's nothing racist about it. masai is the director of the basketball without boards program for africa.

thinking its a racist remark essentially means that you're dumb or something.

How? I don't see how because hes just stating a couple guys worth picking from his area. I don't see anything wrong with that. That's like someone saying we should take Andrew wiggins, or Anthony Bennett. Unless I'm misunderstanding it.

That is all I ment. I am sort of shocked that it could've been even been considered racist, but I didn't want it to blow out of proportion.

I'm sure we made comments about Gheradini when he was scouting here and had insight on some European players like AB or Calderon

I'd consider Rautins probably to have more knowledge on Wiggins because he's played in Canada, correct me if I am wrong, but I do not see that as a racist statement and if it is then I truly would apologize.

made multiple comments during his press conference on how he has been working with African nations to promote the sport and that he has been a strong advocate for bringing awareness of Africa to the NBA. He said that the only thing more important than the Raptors would be the success of everything he has worked on in the past few years with his organization.

Dieng reminds me of a Nazr Mohammed type of center. A guy who wont make many mistakes on the floor, but won't wow you either. He'll put up decent stats and make the correct plays on both sides of the ball, and step out and shoot the 15 footer when he's open. A spot starter, and a solid backup C.

I'm fully on the Schroeder bandwagon though. I hope we can get Dallas' pick and take him.

Don't wanna go off on one about racism but I think people who are overly sensitive to racism are essentially being racist. Not in a horrible way but when that thought process when you meet someone of a different race"ooh, I need to watch i'm saying, be careful don't offend," etc.

I come from a vehemently anti-racist family but we're not overly-sensitive about it, probably coz we have black people in our family. It doesn't feel weird or different to meet or talk about people of different races.

there was nothing racist in the original comment.

I think there was way to much read into that comment that was thought of being racist

I would like to say this I understand how you can connect the dots about the comment but I don't think there was intent or that type of thought process going in a negative way

I agree with tyguy94, I know some pretty random Canadian players, im sure it goes the same way with MU,

I think there would be a lot of pissed off people if he moved JV, but you bring up a great point. If this team is going to make moves to become a contender this season or to build for the next couple seasons it is going to probably take the loss of at least one of these guys.

If he is looking to build for the future you would think DD and Gay's contracts would be need to be eliminated.

When do they have to make the decision on Lowry? Wasn't there something about him only being guaranteed a million dollars and they can opt out of the rest of his contract?

That's all I was trying to say. As much as some people read my post incorrectly and made the wrong assumption, other people would get that from the original. And only that it could be taken that way.

BC sure had a man-crush on DD.... maybe Ujiri isn't as high on his limited skillset.

As talented C prospects are hard to find, I think JV is as safe as they come.... but I'm hoping we aren't looking to trade him for an older version just to make a slightly stronger playoff run with the rest of this mishmash. Gotta trust MU would look to trade the lesser pieces first.
