Default Turkoglu's Complacency

The killer instinct? The clutch? Well, to be clutch you need to be in games in the fourth quarter.

But for the biggest name free-agent signing in franchise history, this guys a huge bust thus far. He hasn't changed a single game, if anything he's been more of a detriment to this team with long stretches of erratic chucking and uncalled for stepbacks.

The part that kills me is his body language. The only guys out there showing they want to win through their play is DeMar, Jack, and Bosh.

Maybe he's regretting not going to Portland, seeing the kind of potential we have, and they kind of skill they have. There's a huge difference. Gamble versus proven methodology.

He takes plays off, that's Vince Carter. Stan Van Gundy plus a contract year made Turkoglu shine. Oldest trick in the book and he's laughing all the way to the bank.

Still too early in the season to say that. We just played a couple games above 20? Opinions will change till april.

He's disapointed me big time. I expected better then this by now. And him laughing it up on the bench in a 17pt loss is getting old. That being said, it's early. I just hope that by the end of the month he gets more consistent.

I dunno why I post so much in this forum sometimes. Yes Turk isn't playing at a level everyone expected but he is the best swing player on the team. That is saying something and maybe its more BC not fitting in the puzzle pieces properly.

This team doesn't has one really good player and a bunch of ok ones. When one of the okay players (bargs) goes out this teams has a problem with talent stepping up and a bench.

I don't get it guys you just pull everything to the extreme all the time if things go wrong. Except the team for what it is.

well I can, Hedo Turkoglu is not worth anything close to what he is getting paid. In shorter words, Hedo Turkoglu sucks ass.
Keep it on record, I will stick with my statement till April .

no one's jumping off a cliff here. i'm sorry, but why is warranted criticism jumping off a cliff? My analysis is based on the first quarter of the season. Even Leo commented on his disinterest tonight during the game. And he's looked that way a lot this year.
He takes plays off. He's complacent on D, and he makes his offensive a lot harder than it should be. For 14 mill I want more than that.

7 of 8 shots hedo took were fall aways or from behind the three point line. that little move he does where he cuts into the lane, jumps off the opposite foot for a little five foot floater/jumper that he did so much in orlando has been oddly absent.

he doesn't get into the lane all that much and he isn't trying to as much as he's settling.

Dude's body language on the court is bothersome. He doesn't seem motivated at all.

I'm with Cling 100%.

Hedo's body language is just terrible. It smacks of a player who just got himself a fat contract and knows that he doesn't have to try anymore.

Maybe THAT's why he chose us over POR. Lower expectations and thus less pressure.

Bargs may look clueless at times but at least he TRIES to go to the rim sometimes to make things happen.

Hedo just.... floats. It's annoying to say the least.

He's being paid $9 mill, not 14. Big difference. Does his contract still kind of suck? Yeah, a bit. I want to see more from Hedo, too. But yesterday night against the T-Wolves, I liked the way he went to the rack when his shot was off. A veteran who knows how to win a gritty game does those kinds of things. He got to the line 14 or 15 times yesterday! That helped win a game in which nobody could hit from the outside, not just him.

To be honest, I can't really comment on tonight too much, since I missed most of the 2nd half. He must have played really, really bad if people are starting threads like this. Like I said, he pulled some savy vertern moves yesterday when his jumper wasn't falling. Getting to the line 14 or 15 times is not what I'd call making your offense "harder than it should be." I've seen spurts from Hedo that are encouraging. I just hope he puts it all together soon.

Glad that we're on the same page (TORaptor4Ever). Does anybody else feel this way?

I can't comment about others but the contract situation in the NBA gives the player no accountability what-so-ever. If I stepped in to work with Hedo's attitude and mentality, I'd be escorted by security out of the premises in no time.

I'm also willing to speculate that the nice guy attitude adopted by Triano is part of the reason for Hedo behaving this way. A coach like SVG is needed for a bum like him.

i meant to write 54 mill.
I take your point, it's valid. But he's coasting. The coasting spurts far outnumber the solid ones.

The problem i have is with his body language!

FOR FUCK SAKES ... dont people show emotion anymore when they lose? I want to see Hedo frustrated, pissed off, hell i'll even take a tech in a tight game situation!

I WANT EMOTION even if hes 0 of 15 from the field fuck...

Thus far the laughing and smiles in a losing effort from him is disgusting to me....
