![]() According to Marc Stein of ESPN, BC targetted HEDO as no. 1 option in free agency, with Marion being the back-up plan:
"The Raptors were intent on re-signing Marion if they couldn't win the Turkoglu sweepstakes, seeing late-season signs of promise in Marion's collaboration alongside Chris Bosh and Andrea Bargnani." Sources: Memphis Grizzlies part of Shawn Marion to Dallas Mavericks trade - ESPN |

Kinda surprising. Just because of the renouncements he's had to do. But most of those players outside of Delfino and/or AP are crap anyway. And i think that he'll find a way to keep one of AP/Delfino. The other players...no big loss and he said today that he thinks our bench will better next season then it was last season, pointing out Derozan and Evans and saying that he's confident to make key pickups this summer.

![]() This makes me breathe a little easier. If BC knew he was going to have to offer Turkoglu all that money, then from the start he's had a plan in place to weather the renouncements and supplement the starting five.

I think his plan is to make room to somehow sign Turkoglu and Delfino and then wait to see who's still available to sign on the cheap at the backup PG/SG/SF positions and maybe make another trade? You're right though he must have known what he wanted to do if he could get Turkoglu and obviously knew he'd have to renounce most of his depth. And today he stated that he feels we'll have a better bench this season then last.

![]() He also said last year's roster was the best Raptors team ever on paper. I'd like to believe him but he's a politician, I'll take it with a grain of salt. But I do believe he'll get something done.
