Default Turkgolu Sees Bosh's Injury As Opportunity For Others To 'Step Up'

Quote:
Chris Bosh is unlikely to play against Cleveland on Friday, but the remainder of the Raptors will attempt to fill the void.

Hes a huge part of this organization and he has been carrying the load for us the whole year, Hedo Turkoglu said of Bosh. I know its going to be tough especially against good teams when youre missing your best player, but it will be a good opportunity for other guys to step up. Hopefully as a group we step up.

Its feeling better, getting better day by day," Bosh said. I did a little movement. Well see how it goes. Im still not sure about (playing Friday) unless I have a miraculous feeling over night ... which is possible. Ive been here before and re-injuring things over again, you just dont want to be in that position.

I'm thinking the dude that needs to step up the most is Hedo himself. While the Portland game was a loss, it was good to see that Hedo resembled the player we thought we were getting at the start of the year. Hopefully he continues to show that form.

I'm with you on this one. Bosh needs to be in pristine condition before he gets on the floor. With him being out, it allows other players on the team to be the go to go guys. Because of this these players can get more experiance of taking over games when Bosh is on the bench.

The one thing Bosh brings to the table is attitude. It fires up the rest of the team.

It looks like JJ gets introverted when Bosh is out...like he has to buckle down and carry the team.

That leaves no one pushing the level of play.

EDIT: Doug Smith today

And for that reason, I put it a 1-99 that we see Mr. Bosh on the basketball court tonight. Maybe even less than that.

If he’s still got some pain in his left ankle and still hasn’t done much more than stationary shooting drills this week, there’s absolutely no sense to run him out there.

Where are all the Bosh Haters. Where are the haters saying Bosh is hindering Bargnani's development and Bargnani is ready to take over as the go to guy. All quiet when Bosh is gone and the probability of beating good teams is very low. Get a good look at this team without Bosh, and you will see a lottery team for the next couple of years.

Bargnani needs to step it up big. Hedo and Jack have done their part now its up for to our second best player to start being more aggressive and taking more shots.

This is why I'm excited to see tonight's game even though it is probably a loss.

Turk has been stepping up lately and is playing like the player we thought he'd be.

His last 3 games have been
14/6/6
16/6/5
24/4/4

shooting 57%

I'm hoping he keeps it up and continues this trend when Bosh gets back.

turkoglu sees this as an opportunity to chuck more contested 3s, nothing else
when Bosh will return, he'll get back to complaining he gets no shots

it's called "sarcasm" ... you don't need to take it in a literal way.
