+1 Mike. Outside of that I think the rest were pretty fair grades.

Yep. I am still at a loss when trying to explain what's happening to Andrea. Gotta by psychological.

Yeah, I have to bite my tongue during and after all the game thread here now because deep down I want to cuss and complain about the guy to no end. It pains me to see how bad he is struggling here in the NBA.

Why a B- for bryan, that's what I would like to know ... All players he brought this summer have performed as good or better then expected.

Meh ... I wouldn't say good and definitely not better. I think the expectations considering how much he spent on Kapono is what affected his grade the most, but Delfino kept it from being a C in my opinion.

Well, the job of a GM is never done, is it? Rebounding has been our biggest weakness last season and it still hurts the Raps almost every game. Kapono, while looking good in spurts, seems unable to get enough looks to be effective - coaching staff fault, really, but one that reflects poorly on a GM who acquired the player. And most of all, though not voiced in those comments, BC is starting to feel the heat for his selection of Bargnani as #1 overall, especially in the light of Roy's stellar play this season. Not very fair - but then few things about public's perception of a GM really are.

Well, Kapono hasen't. Not saying he's a bod pickup as i really like what he can bring. and on certain nights, he's been pretty big - just not as often as he should be.

Also, i'd seriously question as to why Colangelo brought in maceo Baston. Why? the signing has served no purpose whatsoever.

One more... bringing back Darrick Martin was just foolish. Especially since we all knew what he had to offer even last year. Add one year on his out of shape body, and you can see that he's the weakest link on the team.

I'd give Colangelo a B - because the team is better than last year, but the Baston, Martin moves are suspect.

I think the grade for Jamario is too high. An A? No. He's a nice player, but he still does some thing that irk me (i.e. not playing great defense, instead relying on his athletic ability to mask it; reminds me much of Keon Clark). And he's a liability on the perimeter when he's given an open look.

A B+ sure. But right now, people are loving him because he does a lot of flashy things. I want to see him do the simpler but more difficult things now.

I gotta disagree with this. Keon was one of the laziest players in the league, with a terrible work ethic. On top of that, he admitted to rarely, if ever, playing an NBA game sober. I love and hate Keon for that, but don't put Jamario in that league. Jamario loves being an NBA player, and he works hard for it. For Keon, NBA ball was a frustrating necessity for acquiring more disposable income. I can see what you mean about relying on the athleticism, but let's not compare those two any farther. Work ethic is a significant factor here.

Juan Dixon deserves a C, not an F. He had a few decent games.

moon deserves a AAA+ for his performance - the guy barely made the cut, and now he's a starter, and you guys question his A??? Did anybody actually expected more out of him this season?

as for colangelo getting Kapono, I don't see where's the beef with that. I don't think we got kapono to be our solution as SF, we got kapono for those playoffs games where NJN will double and triple double chris - that where JK could be invaluable. Many have questioned the kapono signing because they thought that they guy shooting 50% from 3pt last season was a fluke, but obviously that's not the case - so in my opinion Kapono is a great signing for us - and his true value will be apparent come playoff time.
