Default Triano an Offensive Juggernaut?

Now I know he's taken alot of criticism about his job with the defense, but even then he knew when to pull the plug on his system and find one that better suits the team. I also know that Toronto has been gifted with an over-abundance of offensively talented players, starting the season with a core of Bosh, Bargnani and Calderon, three of the most offensively potent and defensively mediocre-to-bad players in the league. But come on, hasn't he done a great job with the offense? Even with all that talent on the Offensive end a team still needs a coach to organize it. Did he really say during training camp that he wasn't putting an offensive system into place? Whatever he did, it's worked out pretty unreal, just ask our 19 games in a row with over 100 points. I suppose it's pretty damn early to be calling him a juggernaut, partial troll on my part.

I disagree about him knowing when to pull the plug. His explanation over the break was that the stats guy showed him that the defense sucked and so they needed to do something.

He was way too stubborn about finding what worked better. And the offense was part of the problem on defense. He was needlessly running everyone into the ground and giving up huge transition points in second halves. I give him a pass, since he's getting results now, and it's probably not easy figuring out where he needs to be flexible and where he needs to stand firm on his principles. Hell - he's probably still figuring out what his principles are.

no way. part of the reason we were doing so "well" offensively at the start of the season was because we were playing at a fast pace. opponents were more than us in each of these games. I have watched time and time again when our team has been completely shut down on offence when it mattered most. Also credit the jumpshooting skills of most the Raptors for us to be even be competitive.

If I had to give Triano any props it would be in his set plays. Usually they're effective.

As far as offence is concerned - this team has been constructed by BC to be an offensive juggernaut, with so many scorers in the starting lineup and off the bench. We knew during the summer that, at least on paper, this is supposed to be one of, if not the, best scoring Raptors team ever - and they didn't disappoint.

Now, defence is a totally different matter.

Bargs has been awesome on defense and Bosh is average to above average, the only defensive liability of the three is Calderon and probably one of the reasons to have him come off the bench rather than starting.

I give him more credit for turning the defense around.

Ya for sure, when something goes bad its JT's fault, but when things turn around and do good it had nothing to do with him.
