I want Jerry Sloan here. Old school coach with amazing W/L ratio.
Even after Malone and Stockton were gone, the Jazz missed the playoff only twice with scrubs in their roster. I had enough of BC's trial and error.

Amen on this. We need a strict coach for this group of 7th & 8th men.

well didn't know that he still wants to coach...if he does BC make this happen

jazz actually missed 3 playoff years after stockton/malone era

2003-04 but still with a 42/40 win/loss season
2004-05
2005-06 a 41/41 win/loss season

sloan got a .603 win%

Christ. Was it Lenny Wilkens?

and please don't bring up someone having a cup of coffee as an interim guy.
I've only said it a few hundred times; but when a GM publicly forces a coach's hand in playing a certain rotation it certainly won't endear him to successfuly head coaches open to returning to the game.

This.

People seem to be forgetting the once-a-month 40 point blowouts under Triano.

Under Casey this year the Craptors are losing by single digits. Under Triano they lost on average by about 13 points. Losing by single digits is more painful.

I think anger directed at Casey should be directed at the grand architect Colangelo.

Agree and disagree. People on here were making absurd claims that we were better than Chicago and Atlanta pre-season based on what Colangelo had done..... are we to believe that all these RF experts were fooled by BC? At what point is it on the coaching when so many are saying 'we're better than our record'? I'm not happy with either of BC and DC.... but we're lacking a high-end talent and we needed JV to be two years further in his development for that to happen. Now we don't have a draft pick and we're completely underwhelming on the court. It's on both.

I still don't think Casey is a bad coach. We don't have the horses! Much like Triano, Casey is milking a shitty roster for more than it's worth. Lowry is playing great, DD is playing great. Only Bargnani (bless his heart) is regressing this season. It's not like he's got a roster of Kobe, Gasol and Dwight Howard underperforming... We have B level talent and we're not winning against better teams...

Bargs and DD were much better offensively under Triano, but the problem with Triano's system was that players didn't give a shit about defence.
