Default Trade Tj Ford Or Fire Sam Mitchell

ok guys....clearly this experiment failed...you've got a coach who loves tj off and gives him complete authority on the court despite his poor decision making skills...sam mitchell needs to go if he's is not realizing that we are free falling in the east right now...and then to have him keep leting tj ford play his 'frustrating to watch' game (OH LAWD)

These boards are going off the deep end.

The same people complaining about TJ now werent saying shit when he was probably our best player early in the season and coming on strong pre injury.

Once Bosh comes back everything will be roses again. PATIENCE OVERREACTIONARY RAPTOR FANS.

What about those of us who hated TJ even early in the season??

So to answer the question...Trade T.J or fire Sam? my answer is

Yes.

yeah, i agree with thriller. i think roidrage is suffering from.....well other than roid rage, just impatience. tj is trying to overcompensate for bosh's absence and its clearly not working. and if sam benched tj, or blew up at him, i think that would just have a trickle down effect on the rest of the team. we need unity right now, and once Bosh is back, we'll have it again. guys, we just lost to the lakers, you cant seriously expect to beat them without bosh, we just need to chill out

dude i mentioned in another thread that i loved the way ford played last year not this year...unselfish and efficient...but from game 1 this year he has been all about himself...there is no need to be patient becasue experiment already failed...if it takes 1 whole season for us to realize this...then we will end up like the new york knicks. dude how ru gonna have unity when one person is holding the ball 99% of the time? i guarantee you everyone will be happy if sam blows up at him so others can see that they are all being treated equally not some special attention to the little man.....yeah i may be suffering from roid rage thats why i cant handle watching this horrific play game after game...im talking about every SINGLE game

btw can someone get me charles barkley's email please? or sam mitchell? anyone

Thrills, its not just here my friend. The same comments are being talked about everywhere. But I do agree with you and that right now we're overreacting. If we were a championship team I think some of the comments and criticisms should be taken serious, but we're far from that and still years away before we can be taken serious as a contender.

In the meantime, why are we talking about trading Ford when it can't happen till after this season anyways?

I dont mind firing Smitch obviously, the game yesterday just showed how bad he is still with in game adjustments. They did the same thing last game vs us as the 1st game, just pathetic.

I dont mind if we trade TJ and get value back in the offseason, nor do I mind if we trade Jose for that bigtime SF we need. But again, I dont think we should go over the deep end with eithers play without Bosh since our entire offence is basically pick and roll and with Bosh out we need our PGs to do even more, which Jose isnt doing and TJ is trying to do too much. When Bosh gets back the overreactions will stop.

I hated the way T.J played last year too.

Look some of us...*looking at SJ* saw this comming early last year. It wil continue to be a problem untill 1 of them is gone....end of story..

Yeah, thats what I meant when I said these, everyone always overreacts to everything. I expected us to lose yesterday, but unlike all the TJ haters I was way more disgusted with our D than TJ's play. Without TJ in the 4th we lose by 30. Our D is the problem.

yeah man....these people praise tj ford because they watch one game out of 10 where he scores 20+ points like last night and they think hes michael jordan or something...im talking about watching every Raptors game and being able to predict what hes going to do..like hes so one sided...the way things are going right now...i might as well just stop watching these pointless games...btw thriller....GOOD DEFENCE COMES FROM GOOD OFFENCE...you throw up a stupid shot or turnover you ultimately allow the other team to run a fast break on you...make sense now?

Nonsense..

We're now 1-7 when he shoots more than 15 times, I would love to see the numbers of wins when he scores over 20.

Now your'e insulting Raptor fans not so in love with Jose that we defend Tj and are willing let him continue to develop into a great point guard...but then if i only read one of your posts out of every ten, i still would have known you'd say that

I think you're oversimplifying your statement on good defence too...normally our team plays very good defence...last night wasn't one of those nights.

Well after several top-notch posts today I wouldn't want to provoke that for the poor guy but really it's true. We're in the top half of the league in team defense, we give up a lower shooting percentage than we get, force more turnovers than we make, get more steals than we give, rebound okay (still the big weakness) and have a +4 points score differential. NOt bad...not great but good.

All those kinds of numbers can be misleading. I saw a stat like that where DET was under .500 with Sheed scoring over 20 too, how does that make any sense? We lose because we suck on defence, not because TJ's been a hog lately. We still scored like 110 points people!

Lakers got all of their wide open shots i nthe halfcourt because we never made the 2nd rotation out of double teams. We scored 110 points. You wanna take that statement back?

kind of absolut statement, don't you think?

I think you well know that many people on this board don't like TJ's style of play period. Regardless of how well he shoots and all that. For stretches he can be outstanding, but more than often enough he will revert to selfish behavior, and that happened plenty of times before he got hurt too.

Talent wise, he can be the #1 point guard in the league. But he doesn't have the mindset and the character, and, as the past weeks have shown, can't really handle adversity either.
