Default Trade Ford? For what, to who and how?

Read Grange's blog (which is also in the daily new thread) this morning where he discusses the possibility of swapping Jamal for Ford. Skiles seems to the front runner to take over the reigns on the bench for the Knicks next season and seeing how Starbury likely finished and the fact that Crawford and Skiles have never seen eye-to-eye, in all likelihood Jamal will be dealt this summer. Not to mention the Knicks will be looking for a PG some way, some how.

So, with that being said would you guys entertain a Crawford for Ford deal? Or if not, who else do you think we could get in some type deal for T.J.?

Another scenario suggested to me was Donnie Walsh who everyone is expecting to take the Knicks' president job making a run at Ford for a team that needs a true point. For who? How about Jamal Crawford? If the Knicks end up hiring Scott Skiles as coach, it's unlikely Crawford would be well-received based on their days together with the Bulls in 2003-04, Skiles's first in Chicago and Crawford's last. The salaries match; the Knicks need a point guard. Crawford would give the Raptors an end-of-shot-clock scorer who can play both guard positions.

Stranger things have happened.

HAHAHHA...as soon as we have a me-first player we look to the Knicks.

And I'll be gosh darn, they took our last two! Rose and Jones (through Portland I know).

So this is a natural.

Me J would fit right in on that team. I would love too see TJ get water thrown in his face and a towel thrown at his head. With his attitude the knicks would have a hay day with TJ lol. The Knicks would treat MeJ as the team bitch. Come on BC send him to the Knicks lol.

Yeah, I've always like Crawford too. He's awesome in the open court and quick as hell. Jamal's showed us what he can do on many occasions with him lighting us up. But besides that, what intrigues me the most is that Jamal is an excellent creator on offense something that we DESPERATELY need next season. And he's consistent like we've seen over the last couple seasons in New York.

Plus, its feasible transaction too. None of these Ford for Josh Smith or any other young budding all-star proposals that we all read on various message boards.

Bitches... I was the one who suggested TJ for Crawford trade long, long time ago... you all are just stealing my thunder...

Crawford is great one on one player who can create... just what Raps need.

Sorry Bel I never liked his attitude right from day one. I am consistant when it comes to TJ and as is TJ is consistant as being a Me J. It just makes me laugh to read how some say that TJ is playing well now as a starter. . All he does is make Jose look that much better. Forget the individual stats where Jose is heads and shoulders above MeJ. Look at the impact the last 2 games. Both games Jose is the guy when on the floor is the more team productive guy. As stated before Jose was a plus 19 the last 2 games and MeJ was a minus 2. TJ thinks the reason we won the last 2 games is because he is the starter now . The guy is shit and i will continue to speak the truth with regards to his character. He might fool some some but there is no way I am as stupid as him. I don't support cry babies, and sucks. BEL JUST WAIT FOR THE DAY WHEN JOSE STARTS PLAYING MORE COMING OFF THE BENCH LOL sorry Bel that won't happen because TJ biggest fan is Mitch in Toronto. Oh well I can't wait for the summer. I hope the boos continue towards TJ once a plug alway a plug.

Mitchell is TJ's biggest fan and yet he didn't put TJ back in the starting lineup when it was originally suggested becasue he felt he had done nothing to warrant being a starter again.

And WTF is everybody so googoogaga over the fucking +/- stat now all of a sudden?

You know what? They should just award the Championship to the team who's player with the highest one and the MVP. Yeah, that sounds about right.

Ok lets simplify it, TJ goes out we are behind Jose comes in we go ahead. TJ comes back we stay the same Jose comes in with start pulling away Tj comes back we hang on for our lives. Get your calculator out because it seems you need one you will find we are better when Jose is on the floor. Shit the old little lady from my other post got it. lol

I understand what your trying to get at and I understand how the +/- system works, I'm just baffled at how far people will go to discredit TJ.

Dolt #1 "OMG, he wore a red headband today."

Dolt #2 "Yeah I know. You know what that means?"

Dolt #1 "Yeah! He hates Spain and it's a direct insult to Jose and all of us fans."

My question is why would NY take Ford? It looks like Isiah is done making player moves at this point, so why would Ford be wanted in NY?

To me it seems if the Knicks management is making a change, then they'll probably NOT want to bring in players who have, oh i don't know, similar qualities and traits that the big name problem Knicks currenlty on the roster have.

you get me?

Yeah lets trade Ford for a perennial loser who plays worse defence than Calderon. Grange has lost it the past couple weeks in regards to ford.

Crawfords best role would be 6th man on a team where he had to play hard every night or else, not a team like ours.

But Ford's young.
If they really want to fix the locker room, waive Curry & Randolph.
Start Lee
Get some hungry rookies
Honestly you guys are making TJ look WAY to self-centered. Yes hes no Jose "Team-First" guy, but TJ comes every night and plays and he wants to improve.
A smart knick GM would do that trade in a millesecond.
As for BC?
He knows better.

Thriller Jose is way better and smarter on defence then the 5 foot nothing self centered pricK MeJ.
