Well, if we're shootin for a top 3 pick this year, I wouldn't mind seeing Calderon, Ross, Derozan, Davis and JV together. hah.

OKC is NOT trading Durant.

BOS is NOT trading Pierce.

HOU is NOT trading Harden.

Right now, in terms of trade for "all-star talent" you have a couple of "realistic" options IMO.

1. Amare (if you want to take his monster contract)
2. Pau
3. Eric Gordon (if NOH will let him go)
I'd take Gordon for Bargs straight up any day. If he doesn't play this year at all we could have a real shot at 1-3 pick. He is only 23

if Calderon never played starting pg, or starting sg (down the stretch as he has recently) this team would have a better record. Caldy is too big a liability on the defensive end to cover. he needs to fucking go! Bargnani we can make do with, as he's not TERRIBLE! but if caldy has to guard opposing starting pg/sg ever? we lose. simple. he shouldn't start, ever, again, period. I was a caldy fan up until I witnessed lowry's tenacity. I never really appreciated what a defensive pg can bring you because, well, we never had one!

look at the bottom of the NBA. we're no washington...

we didn't have a shot at a 1-3 pick last year, we're going to this year, with JV, Ross, a much improved ed, a much improved Demar, and oh yea, that dude who just rampages the game in lowry? if we trade bargnani, and gordon doesn't play this season, the lowest we'd look at is 8th best odds, because no way in hell are we going to be a worse team than last year, where might I add we didn't have Bargnani for most of it too....

The way Lowry plays defence.

1,Never keeps his man in front.Blows bys just as bad as Caldy.

2. Why does Lowry get alot of rebounds. Its because he never boxes out his man. He runs all over the place which drive DC crazy. Watch Wednesdays game when a shot is taken look for Lowry he leaves his man and becomes a ball chaser,,see what happens when we dont get the rebound and Lowry is out of position....people watch the game.I cant paint a pic for u guys......record the game and play it back slow motion...watch how Lowry plays his d and and see how he refuses to follow the team d concept. Klyle Lowry is about stats hero stats....i hate to say it but the more i watch i can finally agree that Klyle is about Kyle first then his team.

Remember that one play mentioned by Leo.... Lowry and 2 other players under the Raptors basket. A shot beng taken from the top of the circle who Lowry was supposed to be guarding. We out number houston by one on the boards while lowrys blows his assignment .

Man,fuck all this other shit.....this team has NO discipline. Not Casey's fault either,I think players just don't care about being proud to be a Raptor. I say this because I like Amir Johnson, but how the fuck is he jacking up 3's every game now? Fully knowing its not a high percentage shot for him? Smh, tbey need to treat that how LA did Bynum when he started launching 3's as a joke. That doesn't help the team(unless its late in the clock). Casey needs to run a tight ship from now on. This team has the talent and ability to turn it around, but its up to these players to play their roles effectively.

Maybe he's being influenced by the play of another big on our team. Not naming names.....

PS that made me laugh, could tell how genuinely angry the thought of him jacking the 3 was making you.

That's the Raptors for you. Nobody has a roll and can do whatever they want.

-Dominic McGuire gets posts up called for him
-Amir can shoot threes
-Lowry can chuck 35 foot threes
-DD can drive from the three point line on isos
-Bargnani can shoot contested long range shots
-John Lucas can chuck contested fadeaways

This is why we're just a bad team. There's no role definition. Watching how the Spurs operate and make use of their roleplayers is a thing of beauty. You never see Danny Green tossing up fadeaway jump shots. He's getting open threes. Same with Bonner. He's never driving from the 3pt line or doing things he shouldn't. Duncan gets his high quality shots, Parker breaks guys down off the dribble, creates for his teammates or takes open jumpers from his preferred spots on the floor.

Green and Bonner take open threes, Splitter and Blair get garbage baskets or feeds from teammates around the basket and their good players Parker, Manu and Duncan get quality opportunities or create for their roleplayers.

DD needs the ball where he's useful, in the post or coming off screens. Not driving into traffic from the 3pt line. But that's Raptor basketball, and why we never get high quality shots ever.

The only reason DD is doing well at the moment is due to his size as a SG.
If we move DD to SF, we are taking away DD's only advantage. He is simply not strong enough to guard average starting SFs from other teams. DD playing for starting SF would be as bad as Barg playing for starting C. Yes, it is THAT bad.

Having said that, Ross-DD lineup will be a huge disaster. If we want to develop Ross as our starting SG, we definitely need to trade DD. If DD is considered as poor man's Vince Carter, then Ross is going to be like T-Mac. Remember how much we regret to lose T-mac and watch his god-like plays? Same will happen to Ross, if we keep DD on a roster.

Here's direct comparison between DD and TR.

Hardware(height/weight): DD > TR
Foul drawing: DD > TR
Athleticism: TR = DD
Rebound: TR > DD
Defense: TR > DD
3Pt: TR > DD

Looking at Ross, he is capable of delivering everything DD is delivering, except attacking rim for foul drawing. This being said keeping DD will only postpone Ross' development.

I would say, we should trade DD when his value is up high and get a decent SF back to pair with Ross.

I don't see DeRozan postponing anything if Ross continues to play like he did against the Rockets he will get minutes.
The fact is that up untill that game he hadn't done much.

Trade: Andrea Bargnani IMO

Hit the nail on the head my man. A team full of 7th and 8th men can have marginal success if they all buy into the team concept, have utmost discipline but importantly - give a damn about the team they represent.

If Amir Johnson launches a three, you bench him for the rest of the game and you keep doing it until he knows what shot to take and what not to.

I know some of you guys are suggesting trading DeRozan but is there any demand or interest for him?
