I would trade our PTE and next years pick top 6 protected for Rudy. Probably a 2nd as well but I can honestly see the Grizz wanting Davis - the Grizz will surely want young cheap talent in return.

JJ would be a great backup for the Raps IMO.

If we get Irving through the draft, and acquire Nene or Gasol through free agency, then maybe go after Rudy Gay. Rudy Gay spent 4 tough years with Memphis without going to the playoffs. Rudy Gay would not like to go through another couple of years of rebuilding.

Although Memphis isn a lock at PF when you have Powe as a back up and Haddadi as backup center, the advantage with Davis is he can play behind both the way the Grizz style dictates. Anyways, I couldn't see MemphIs doing that trade above just cause of the salary return. If the Raps took Williams the thread is moot. If the raps took Irving (crossed fingers) then I think Rudy would be a nice addition. In the meantime, like NY, Miami, lol Boston now, and a few other teams we need a defensive minded center. The only advantage the Raps have is the ability to over pay for one.
they have arthur who i think is underrated and has stepped up pretty nicely in the playoffs this year and has played major minutes

That team looks redonculous to me. Hopefully with a little luck and some good moves, this rebuild can be accelerated.

He's making too much money. Max salary for a non max-salary player. Andre Iguodala part 2.

I'd do Bargnani + TPE for him, but otherwise, the addition in salary is not worth it IMO. If we were going to get a guy like Gay, we should have tried harder to re-sign Bosh (who is a better player than Gay, but I thought ALSO wasn't worth $15-20 mill per season).

Not every team has the cap space to get rudy like we do, that's why i they reallyy are interested in trading him, I think we would have a good shot at getting him. Honestly any player on our team right now is open to be traded except Demar and Davis especially when its for a player like Gay.

Memphis owner: We're not trading Rudy Gay
Owner Mike Heisley emphatically said the Grizzlies will not be trading Rudy Gay this summer.
Despite rumors to the contrary, we believe Heisley. The Grizzlies' need for a legit second scorer was obvious against the Thunder and Gay is due $68 million over the next four years. Finding a taker for that contract in this economic climate will be extremely difficult. Remember that Gay was in the midst of a monster fantasy season before his injury this year: 19.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 1.1 treys and 1.1 blocks. He'll be a value pick next year while sending Sam Young/O.J. Mayo back to the bench.
