Default Toronto given worst odds to win championship

Quote:
Bruce Arthur: Bodog gives the Toronto Raptors an NBA-worst 150-1 odds to win the 2012 title. Seems reasonable.

I know we're bad but really that means were the worst team in the league.

we have as much chance to win it as minnesota.... and that's about it. We may be young, but we have zero top tier talent. We are exactly like Minnesota.

well....if you think about it, we are.
we were third worst this year, cleveland being the worst has the 1st and 4th pick in the draft and i would say made some good in-season improvements.
2nd worst was minny, who we all agree has a very good, young, talented roster. also with rubio coming.
then there us....
then teams above us but were close to us: clippers, wizards, sac, nets, g state, all have a better roster than us. and i could see all those teams making improvements record wise next season

......we are in big trouble.....sigh

minny's not winning anything anytime soon, but i would rather have their roster than ours. at least they have an all star...

gambling odds actually take into account who people will bet on. more people = less odds.
most people will put money on Miami...less payout. but that doesn't mean they are the strongest team

There roster is just as far away as ours. They are also lacking top tier talent.

Uhhmm, prior to the draft + FA i would say this is a little premature no? I mean we should be active in the next 4-6 weeks with our capspace and the draft next week. I have a feeling BC will use most of the capspace to try and upgrade this team and i predict at least 1 good sized trade. To predict this shit June 15th is a little stupid, since nobody's roster's are anywhere near set. These people must be bored.

With the injuries we had this season + our inexperience, to end with 22 wins was a minor miracle. I would argue that without that many injuries we could have realistically had 30 wins. Nothing to bragg about obv. but nowhere near the worst team in the NBA.

But gambling on rosters that rean't set? Not that i know shit about gambling, but that just seems well.....dumbass. Then again, the odds will continue to change for every team once moves are made so whatever i guess.

betting lines are going to get set. vegas isn't going to wait for people to gather all the info they need. if someone wants to make a longshot bet now, odds-makers are going to take it. vegas wins big from dumbasses all the time.
