Raptors Top 5 priorities for this summer

What would you say are the top 5 priorities for Masai Ujiri this summer?

My list would be:

1) Re-sign Lowry/GV/PP
2) Exercise the Salmons 1mil buyout
3) Sign more scoring off the bench at the wing
4) Sign a veteran Center with size
5) Decision on our HC going forward

I would say that an upgrade at SF is needed. Ross isn't ready, and I'm not sure he's a starting calibre wing player. I think he would be better off as a sixth man. So to me, that's the #2 priority behind re-signing Lowry.

#3 is definitely deciding what to do with Casey. I'm on the fence right now on him, as on the one hand I feel he deserves another shot with this team yet on the other hand I think the team could find an upgrade.

#4 would be getting a veteran centre.

well, after seeing Ross absolutely fail in his first playoff series, its pretty much rolled out a red carpet for a VC/Raps reunion next season.
Ross needs time to develop and we need to get a wing scorer who can start/come of the bench/teach TRoss.
sign VC to a 2 year deal.

Actually, quite a lot of Lithuanians would like him to stay to improve his game overseas as well. Many (including myself) think that we can wait a year so that JV could improve significantly.

We have a lot of cap room this off season, enough to sign lowry for 13m, keep amir, and still sign a free agent for ~10m/year

If we add another player to this squad that performs at a 9-10mill level, we will be a legit force in the east.

It'll take time to clean out the bench warmers off this team, but fields at 8.5m and hayes at 5.9 mill expirings next year would be another trade asset for us to possibly acquire a 4th piece on top of the free agent we sign.
Thats two potential good players and first round pick we could add to the core of this squad without giving up anything

My 5 priorities:
1) sign lowry (buy out salmons and give lowry the raise)
2) draft a high IQ athletic defensive player (wing or big)
3) use 10mill cap room to sign a 3rd star or pseudo star
4) use MLE to sign a veteran bigman off the bench (we really need help inside)
5) use our expiring contracts in fields 8.5m and hayes 5.9m or even johnson 7m (i really dont want him to go but if thats what it takes) and bring in a 4th starter-calibur player

Our talent level and lack of experience was exposed in a major way in this series, but we've come so far from the crappy team from 2012-2013

An upgrade at SF with Ross coming of the bench would be great. A bigger 3 and D small forward.

I don't see him staying in Cleveland unless the Cavs massively overpay. I wouldn't be surprised to see him land in LA.

Resigning KL is it's own priority. (who knows where this team would be without him)

GV/PP can return IF the cost is right.

DO NOT GO CRAZY SPENDING THIS SUMMER. There must be some room for 2015. That is when you expect MU to go hardcore making a big splash - either big signing/sign+trade/trade.

The biggest question is whether MU is looking to bring in a major talent or tweak some things. Although popular opinion in this thread is looking to tweak the roster, I say he goes for a central roster change. Look at what he did with Denver bringing in iggy. With the pressure of Mlse to build a championship team, I wouldn't be surprised if he opts out to go all hands on deck.

Yet again that 2016 year, with allot salary coming off the books, he might wait till then to make the push.

Whatever the direction, I believe in Masai

You don't think he's leaving Cleveland?? Really?

I just think he'll be too expensive tbh. The only good thing about him is that he is apparently quite close to MU because of basketball without borders.
