Lowry looks like a boss. Harden might be a stud. Anything else I'm missing?

Never hurts to admit you were wrong.... anybody else wanna try it?

I think Bryan Colangelo is a massively overrated GM and I feel dirty for having defended him in the past. Although, in my defense, it was more about arguing against ridiculous criticisms of him than about liking his moves. I increasing think he is overrated. But I also think some of the criticims of him suck. Still, I overrated him in the past.

hmmmm...what else. I'll be back.

Edit - I don't want to give the impression I hate the guy with a passion. He just gets too much credit. He really does.

For some reason he's a guy that I kept thinking about his pre-draft concerns and limitations.... he's clearly taken many steps to silence most of them. I may have been seriously wrong about him.... but I had grown to like him, just not this much.

well I liked him for one reason, he reminded me of a guy I played with in college. not the fastest, not the leanest, but boy could he play, and man could he use his body. Some guys jut know how to play...Harden has always looked like he was a level above his peers to me.

As for colangelo...meh, no GM, and I mean NO GM will ever rule up here in Toronto. It aint the GM its the league and the players...youre dealing with an uneven hand up here man.

The league does not force you to make some of the moves he made. I'm sorry, it doesn't. It did not force him to sign Landry to that contract. It did not force him to sign Demar to that extension. Just to list more recent moves.

Lowry was happy as a pig in shit to come here. Yes, there are some obstacles, but it has been used way too much as an excuse and crutch. At least that's the way I feel now.

Remember, SJ, saying someone is overrated does not mean he is horriawful. It just means they get too much credit. You can be average and still get too much credit.

I wouldn't laugh too loud. He might come close. I think he's currently at an avg of over 40 pts a game. That number will come down, but unlike all these "big 3's", Harden's not sharing the ball with anybody. And I don't think they're asking him to.

I was very disheartened when at the tail end of the '09 season the Raps went on a winning streak with Marion, all but eliminating them from a chance at Harden. And then Colongelo kept bragging about it - still irks me.

I'll eat mine...I was very skeptical of the drafting of Jonas Valancuinas and thought he'd be the second coming of "Alexsander Radojovic"....well,its safe to say I was way wrong and thankfully so lol.

It was crazy how much hype was going to Kemba and Knight, both of which seem to be decent if not yet very good players, but I was happy with the idea that Colangelo went off the cuff to take the best available talent in the draft after he'd been passed over despite not knowing too much about him. It never hurts to draft seven footers with skill, always better to miss with size if you're going to miss.

To be honest, I kind of took pleasure in them drafting 'another euro' just because I knew it would create a groundswell of distaste.... give us something to argue incessantly over!
