Giving up our 5th pick for PARKER just isn't worth it IMO
I would say that about Nash, but why Parker?

that is not the truth.... parker is money from midrange, he has a much more consistant jumper than calderon. and he's worked on his three point shooting to the point he shot 35.7% last year to Jose's 36.5%. also, parker can create his own shot but jose gets his looks from pick and rolls

i don't even like Parker but to be so bold to claim an opinion as the truth......
your rite..
but really, I'm not comparing him to Calderon, it would be an easy upgrade from Jose to Parker, but there is a good chance Calderon won't be back.. so to play Parker over Bayless makes no sense really... they are not to much different in terms of the way they play

since we are rebuilding, i'd rather keep the 5th pick. he would be a good (if not great) upgrade but his 4yr/50mil. isn't a sure-fire asset. we need someone who can influence others. and this guy definitely isn't.

NBA sources say San Antonio has offered George Hill to Milwaukee (#10), Golden State (#11) and Utah (#12) in exchange for their pick.

i'm not advocating getting parker here either. but i just thought ur reasoning (calderon is a better shooter) behind it were false and made no sense

wasn't as crazy as you guys think

parker .493 career FG%
calderon .486 career FG%

calderon .383 career 3PT%
parker .315 career 3PT %

Calderon is a better 3pt shooter then Parker..
Big deal, he never shoots. He takes 2.3 3PT shots per game.

And with that he averages less then one 3PT shots (0.8) made per game.

everyone forgets he is a 3 time nba champ. look what billups does for a team. parker brings the same. however i wouldn't want to give up the 5th pick for him. maybe swaping jose for a top 15 pick and using that to get parker would be better.

I don't think Calderon's trade value is equal to essentially a lottery pick. For that to happen, Calderon would have to be part of a bigger package that could involve multiple players and/or picks from all involved teams.

haha of course i didnt. but i think kemba could be a star even because of his height. so i dont want to trade tony parker who is getting old...and also doesn't have great defense, for possibly kemba... tony parker isn't just worth our #5 pick.
