Tony Parker to miss monday's game vs Raptors

This could be interesting.

Quote:
Nov. 7, 2009 - 4:11 a.m. ET

Tony Parker said after Friday's game he expects to miss a week with his left ankle injury.

Parker missed nine games early last season after spraining the same ankle, and missed a month with the French national team during the summer with a similar injury to his right ankle. "This one is not even close," Parker said late Friday night. "It will be a week, maybe." George Hill will likely start in his place, but isn't a great fantasy option except in deeper leagues.

The Raps are the young family member finally deciding to put their elder(spurs) in a retirement home.

Bad for my fantasy team, but good for Raps. I've watched a few Spurs games and they are starting to look their age. Richard Jefferson has been unimpressive so far.

One thing i see is that this road trip might just might be happening at the right time. NO is struggling with new players (W), SA is struggling to get it going early with their new players and now this injury to Parker. Add to that Dallas is trying to intergrate their new players and have key injuries and getting these teams early might benefit us, which would also get us some confidence going forward. Maybe wishful thinking or maybe i'm optomistic after last night, but i'm happy right now.

I think the Italian connection of the team is working out fine, there always seems to be a good player out when we play

Yup. Spurs didn't look good last night with parker out. they were losing pretty bad, made a run to tie then just lost. Raps can do it!

Spek-tak-ular! He might have abused our PGs with his speed.

Good to know also that since the Raps had a blow out game, it's just a little better for them to have rested players at the end on their first game of the trip.

Wicked news! If the Dinos get a W tonite in dallas (which I predict they will) then the Spurs game is there for the taking. No TP is always a good thing for opponents. They could be riding a 4 game win streak after monday! Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope the Dinos show up to play!

I hope Raptors won't celebrate too soon, they have to came out and play hard regardless if opponents have injured players or not. You remember Magic game, right? No VC&Rashard&Pietrus and they still beat Raptors.

Also remember for wednesdays game vs Chicago...

NO Tyrus Thomas either.....

They need to take advantage of as many as these players not playing due to injury as possible!

Big Loss for the Spurs...hopefully the Raptors can get the W. Spurs have underperformed so far, but it's still early.

This is a curse imo. Whenever we play a team that's shorthanded we tend to lose. And especially to deep teams, someone always steps up and hits for 20+ off the bench or something. I have a bad feeling about this. Teams like SA, LA, Boston, Magic seem to step up when a key contributor goes down.
