Boo MoPete? Sam says he deserves standing ovation

Quote:
Air Canada Centre crowds are famous for giving former Raptors the business when they return to Toronto.

But head coach Sam Mitchell and all-star forward Chris Bosh are hoping that the ACC faithful will greet former Raptor Morris Peterson with a long and loud standing ovation when the Raptors host the New Orleans Hornets tonight.
Raps' D gets an A

Quote:
The Raptors defence continues to lead the NBA over the last five games, holding opponents to an average of 86.0 points. The Raptors held the New York Knicks to 95 points on Friday night, marking the fifth time in the past six games an opponent has been held under triple digits.

The admiration is mutual between Scott and Mitchell

Quote:
Former teammates, long-time friends, members of the exclusive NBA head coaching fraternity; they live by much the same philosophies and conduct themselves in similar fashions.

No message being sent to Raptors swingmen

Quote:
"We're looking for defence, rebounding. We're just looking for all those intangible things. Getting loose balls, getting on the floor. Bringing some grit and toughness to our basketball team. You can't keep asking for that," Mitchell said. "So after a while of asking, it's my and [Toronto general manager Bryan Colangelo's] job to try to go out and find that. We have been asking for that. But if it's not in someone's DNA, let's find someone who [has it] in his DNA.

"I tell players all the time, you have got to step outside yourself and do what you need to do any given night to get that job. "
Basketball boy's birthday bash

Quote:
Bosh arrived moments later, entourage in tow. He was decked out in a peach blazer, collared shirt, jeans, pristine white sneakers and yellow shades. He clowned around for the photographers --causing gridlock in the entranceway --and signed autographs for Jaiman and his friends before heading inside, where he quickly retreated to the VIP area. Other Raptors, including Anthony Parker, Jamario Moon, Derek Martin, Kris Humphries and Primo Brezec, soon joined him, and it wasn't long before Bosh took to the dance floor.

I wouldn't boo him, I liked MoPete as a Raptor.

If they can hold NOH to under 100, I'll raise a single eyebrow with a "How about that".

No new message being sent to Raptors coach ?

Bringing some confidence and respect to our basketball team. You can't keep waiting for it," Colangelo said. "So after a while of asking, it's my job to try to go out and find that.
