Bosh out for week no reason to panic

Quote:
"I'll tell it to you like this: I think Andrea understands that," said the coach. "I don't think we're going to have a problem telling Andrea to shoot, it's making sure he takes quality shots."

Not like some of the bricks he tossed up Friday.

"I think he had some better options," said Mitchell. "Sometimes he shot when he could have drove. I don't mind Andrea shooting threes but maybe 10 when you're not shooting them that well are a little too many. Let's say he takes five threes and goes to the basket with those other five. Now all of a sudden he's got a pretty good shooting night."
Smith's Blog

Quote:
In the East, I think itís going to be like it is today when itís all over: Boston-Philly, Detroit-Jersey, Orlando-Washington, Toronto-Cleveland; the only change may be in three, four, five but thatís a longshot. I see the top two teams, as expected, making it to the conference final. I cannot fathom what happens out west, except that I think itís the Lakers and Spurs in the final, somehow.

Bosh sidelined

Quote:
"Everybody wants to play and we understand that as coaches,'' Mitchell said. "Everybody cries and complains about minutes and then they come.

"Now is the time. At the end of the day, it's always going to come off my lap and back into the players' lap.

"Now, it's in their lap."
Primoz back in Carolina

Quote:
Tonight's game marks Brezec's return to Carolina as a Raptor, a moment that hasn't been lost on a player who doesn't lack confidence.

"I have great memories,'' Brezec said. "I like the city, I like the fans. I still have a house there."

Bobcats begin youth movement

Quote:
Friday the Charlotte Bobcats waived veteran Jeff McInnis, and coach Sam Vincent says that's about discovering exactly who and what Felton is over the remainder of the season.

It's about time. Felton has been jerked back and forth between the point and the shooting guard positions. Never has he complained about that, despite Vincent first saying Felton should be left alone to learn the point, then doing a 180-degree turn before a game in Orlando, making Felton the de facto shooting guard.

Felton is tough and stoic. I still don't know how good a point guard he'll be -- (something short of Chris Paul or Deron Williams, we do know) -- but I've always admired his character.

Is there a possibility for you to take things to the next level with your friend Steph, lang?

Nope, not at all. First, I don't think my woman would be too pleased with that idea. Secondly, I actually met Steph through my brother, who knows her a lot better than me. She travels a lot between Calgary, Toronto, and wherever else she needs to go for her shoots, so she never stays put for too long.
