Kapono shoots back

Quote:
With Ford coming off the bench in Toronto's 102-98 win in Indianapolis on Monday, Kapono rebounded from two straight games with zero points with a nine-point, five-rebound effort. Delfino had 23 points, many from Ford passes.
Quote:
Kapono, one of the NBA's best three-point shooters, said Ford constantly makes fun of his athleticism, or lack thereof.

"He said that I have the worst vertical leap in the NBA," Kapono said. "(And) it's unfair, because I was born with that, so he's making fun of my mom and dad too. It's more of a personal issue. So I'm just out to prove that my parents are very talented people."

Kapono cracked everyone up when asked what his vertical leap is?

"(The height) of two Ritz crackers," he said. "Crumpled up."
Jose should start: Ford

Quote:
"Now (coming off the bench), T.J. doesn't have to really worry about making sure Chris and Andrea and those guys get their touches," Mitchell said. "It gives him more freedom to create and look for scoring opportunities, and to play a little bit more free. Because with Chris on the floor, we play a little bit more structured."

Ford brings fringe benefits

Quote:
Recently unaccustomed to playing alongside a guard with Ford's kind of court vision, Kapono acknowledged he was a little unprepared for the demands.

"It's been tiring, too, because I'm out of shape to actually cut and finish. I'm getting fouled, too. So there's, like, contact. You get sore. You can't sleep at night," said Kapono, his tongue perhaps not entirely in cheek. "I might have to pace myself. We've got, what, 27 games left? Yeah, I've got to pace myself. Maybe two (layups) every other game. It's a pounding out there, man. My back is sore. Actually I'm worse at it. I should stay outside. I would last longer in the NBA."
Yao lost for rest of year with foot stress fracture

Quote:
If Yao chooses surgery, Clanton said, it would involve placing screws across the bone to hold it together. The second option would be to treat it with a cast and crutches. Both options involve a healing time of about four months.

Raptors' Ford is fine with role as No. 2

Quote:
The controversy is over for now, so stop the feverish posting on the message boards: T.J. Ford is fine with backing up Jose Calderon at the point for the Toronto Raptors.

In fact, he recommends it.

"I'm satisfied with my role," Ford said at practice on Tuesday as the Raptors prepared to meet the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight. "I think Jose did a good job, and he is doing a good job as the starter. He should continue to start probably for the rest of the year. It's no big deal to me, as long as I can come in and produce."

As an amateur photographer, I'm surprised they are not using more lighting or post-production editing to fix up these photos a bit. The skin always looks so horrible on a lot of these girls.

Maybe they don't spend too much time on the photos because they're going for the whole naughty amateur thing?

She got bad advice. I would have told her to cover the bottom, expose the top.
