convinced that Raptors fans are only happy when they're unhappy.

Raptors still searching for signs of change

Quote:
The Raptors, who led by as many as eight points in the first quarter, trailed just 56-48 at the break. And there was, at least at that point, hope. Still, though Toronto played respectable defence in the first two quarters – holding the Spurs to 44 per cent shooting – San Antonio built the lead by outscoring the Raptors on second-chance points, 13-6, and by drilling nine of their 23 first-half three-pointers.

"That was a pretty awesome display of shooting," said Triano. "We rolled the dice (giving up jump shots to protect the paint) and they make threes."
Bonner finds form as starter

Quote:
The four games on the bench amounted to something of an intervention from his current coach, Gregg Popovich, the championship-winning veteran who grew tired of watching Bonner doubt his abilities. Bonner is, for all his quirky modesty, leading the league in three-point shooting this season. And yet, at times early this season, he refused to shoot.

"So we finally got to the point where it's shoot or sit," said Popovich. "He's innately a sort of a nervous kind of a player. He's hard on himself. If he makes a mistake, it kills him.

Long-distance dilemma

Quote:
Chris Bosh was back talking with the media a night after storming out following a disheartening 91-83 loss to the 30th place Oklahoma City Thunder.

While buoyed by the fact that the effort was better and the Raptors stayed with the Spurs for most of the night, he found it hard to even address the idea of a moral victory.

"No, that's thinking positive and everything, but I would rather get a victory than try to make something out of nothing," he said. "I'm at the point now where I just want to win. We're very close. We just have to keep fighting and stay consistent."

Raptors drop fifth in a row

Quote:
Tony Parker had 24 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds, and the San Antonio Spurs matched a franchise record with 16 three-pointers in their 107-97 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday night.

Spurs continue Raptors' losing skid

Quote:
"Those guys just had a lot of timely threes," Toronto center Jermaine O'Neal said. "Every time we would stop them, it seemed like they would come back on the next possession with a three."

O'Neal, who suffered a minor left shoulder injury against the Thunder, collected 24 points and 10 rebounds for the Raptors in this one.

Spurs break shooting slump

Quote:
“It's always easy to get assists when everybody makes shots,” Parker said.

Parker came just two rebounds shy of collecting his first career triple double. He blames Tim Duncan — he of the 9-inch height advantage — for depriving him of them.

keep fighting and stay consistent?
5 in a row is pretty consistent already. Considering 3 of those would be wins in my dreamland
