Moon shows shooting dark side

Quote:
When someone asked Sam Mitchell, the Toronto coach, for the key to Toronto's success in the coming season, Mitchell said: "I think the key for our team is our 2s and 3s. One of those guys is going to have to step up and become a double-digit scorer. ... Our 2s and 3s have not done that yet."
Pacers close to O'Neal's, uh, heart

Quote:
Not that this is a common media pastime, but the player was wearing a pair of blue gym shorts bearing the logo of his old team, the Indiana Pacers.

Now that O'Neal is earning his $21.3 million (U.S.) salary from the Raptors, should he think about changing his underwear?

Mitchell issues warning

Quote:
"You have to ask the coach about what tactics we'll have (tonight), but I'd assume we'll have to approach the last one like a regular-season game," Parker said. "I think we've got some work to do. We had some moments (against the Lakers), made some good plays. But the coach is right about (over-dependance) on Chris and Jermaine."
Raptors look to expand fan base in Canada

Quote:
Tonight's sold-out visit to Edmonton (17,000 at the Rexall Centre) against the Denver Nuggets won't get the NBA expansion committee stampeding back into Canada, but it means there's a toe-hold for basketball in this market behind the traditional Western passion for football, hockey and rodeo.

"Well, they said the same thing about Toronto years ago (that basketball wouldn't work)," forward Chris Bosh said prior to the team arriving in Alberta yesterday.

Nuggets in for rough ride: Melo

Quote:
"Unfortunately, we're in the Western Conference," Anthony said.

"Fifty games in the Western Conference is the eighth seed, and that shows you how tough the Western Conference is."
O'Neal a jolt for Raptors

Quote:
"If we stay healthy as a team we could be very, very good," the five-time all-star said. "I was talking to (Clippers guard) Baron Davis and some other guys the other night and they said the same thing, we have a shot."

Raptors star O'Neal advises young Lakers center Bynum

Quote:
"I talked to him a little bit about his knee," O'Neal said. "He's still working through that. It's going to be hard to tell (how well Bynum will play this season) until he actually gets healthy. But we all know what kind of talent he has.

"I just told him (Sunday), `Take your time.' He was telling me he still has a little bit of things going on. But (I told him), `Just take your time.' Longevity is on his side. They have enough talent, enough big guys to really step in and pick up the slack.

"So, it's important for him to stay focused because he has a huge future in this league. He's so young. I know he wants to get back out there. He just has to be patient."

I just wanted to point out over the whole under shorts thing with J.O. Some may recall that JYD did the exact same thing and Raptors Fans thought it was cool. If you put a T.J Ford jersey on that sunshine girl is she not still hot.

I don't approve of players wearing their old teams' logo.

Nice girl. She has perfect abs: she didn't overdo it on the obliques, but she looks chiselled. I love athletic girls.
