All I have to say is that TJ Ford is my fucking hero. No joke! The guy is tough, and has the heart of a warrior. I hope to god he doesn't ever get a career ending injury!

good interview.

it definately hammers home TJ's fighting spirit/determination - and how he knows he's playing with fire everytime he gets hit on a play.

I'm pulling for him big time.

i dont think they actually showed all of that on raps tv though. Probably 3/4s or so. Dude's tough and I think this whole ordeal, somehow might finally put the jose/tj debate to bed once and for all. they're both tough as nails players who approach the game with passion and heart and a desire to be better, and to make their teammates better. that's old school and thats respect.

Ah, after the Dallas game eh? That makes sense due to the first paragraph info but fooled me because of the date (was posted only yesterday).

Still, the guy has guts; he's the anti-Vince. His new mandate after the latest injury is a week or more; pretty impressive that he's saying it could be as little as one week after that horrendous fall. A guy like Camby/Larry Hughes/etc would take months to come back from that.

Yeah they cut out before the entire session was done but it was the longest one i'd seen on the post up show ever...for obvious reasons.

With the concerns over his health hanging over him, it does make the roles of each pg a little more clear as far as their importance goes. I'm sure that Colangelo tossed that angle at Jose over the summer. That they could and would both be considered the pgs of the future on this team, with TJ's status being more short term and clouded by health concerns and Jose being there to minimize TJ's risk, and to fill in and eventually carry a much fuller load, hopefully once TJ has already reached some great success before he has to pass on the torch altogether. Again - I think it's a pretty good situation for each guy and one that would be hard to replicate anywhere else.
