Default Time to Hire a Full-Time Big Man Coach

They have Patrick Ewing helping Dwight Howard in Orlando, Kareem taught Bynum in Los Angelos. David Robinson helped tutor Tim Duncan, Moses Malone helped Charles Barkely, Sam Mitchell showed Garnett how to be professional. Most great big man had a coach or a player to help them in their early years in the NBA. Now that we have drafted these young big men, the Raptors should really invest in a full-time big man coach. One of Ed Davis' weakness is his post moves, and Solomon Alabi is a few years away before he can really contribute in the NBA.

I totally agree with this idea! We need someone like that on the team. We have Alvin for the guards... bring in a reputable, tough nosed former player with some rep.

FWIW Alex English has spent a lot of time helping out Amir.

What about Sheed?

I like the Hakeem suggestion if attainable? I was kinda of thinking of Gherardini using his European connections and getting Arvydas Sabonis. One of the smartest big man ever to play the center position.

i think alvin williams did a good job on our guards. Especially sonny weems. He helped Wrght get his shot back, and demar to stop shooting but to start driving. We definately now need a big man coach. With Bargs, ed, and soloman now, we need someone to help them with their post
