Default Time for BC to move on. S

It's been 7 years here, with very little results. lets face it, he did a very poor job here as a GM, signing guys to bloated contracts, screwing up on draft picks and having star players leave while getting nothing of value in return. and it's about time to move on, before he destroys/wrecks this ship any further. No doubt the Fields deal and losing out on Nash while throwing all our eggs in one basket was humiliating. I think the best thing to do for him is to step down and look elsewhere for other oppurtunities.

I'm not questioning what he did in Phoenix or his track record, I'm just saying it hasn't worked here for him and its time to move on and look at other options which is necessary at this point.

Sadly i'm leaning toward agreeing with this.

I'm still willing to see what he does the next two weeks but this Dragic signing by the Suns really has me thinking it's time to move on from the Colangelo era. It's a shame because i like him, and to be honest to be a GM in this city is one of the hardest in the NBA but my god. This was the most important offseason since he came here, in the middle of a rebuild, capspace, he has the right coach in place and he shits the bed. I don't blame him for losing out on Nash but the Lowry/Dragic stuff is disheartening. I give him the next two weeks to see what he can do but if he does bullshit moves such as Pietrus + Felton or Brooks type of moves i'm pretty much done.

Mentioned this in another thread, just sign Ray Felton for 6 years, 120 mil plus trade kicker. Then we'll only have to worry about the 3 spot.

This is definitely a dark day for the franchise...

Let BC finish the year then re-evaluate after the season on picking up his option.

If he can land Dragic or Lowry, and trade for a Decent SF before the season starts, then lets see what that team can do, if they fail, he's gone.

If he doesn't acquire Lowry, and starts next season with Calderon/Bayless BC should be Canned.

Period.

this is insane, bc came close to geting the deal done, the fact was nash got paid by the lakers and still gets a chance at winning a title

bc gave it a go and it didnt work,

who knows nash is 38 we don't know if he falls off a cliff next season and finally gets old , you just don't know

bryan colangelo was patient this year made not bad trades and developed young guys

i'm sticking with bc, i'm not sure who we can get thats better, and with a young core that we do have and a healthy andrea Bargnani with added players that can play defense we can be a playoff team witout nash,

by the way Calderon maybe not a top 10 pg but he is a top 15 guy, we have a pg thats better than half the league's pg

I remember when we let go of Babcock and brought in Wayne Embry on an interm basis. First thing he did was trade Aaron Williams for 2 second round picks (something that was offered weeks ago when Babcock was here) and also traded Jalen Rose's contract and first for A Davis and expiring. What was Babcock thinking? A williams wanted out and we were offered 2 second round picks for him and he had to stop and think?

i dont think dragic is better than a healthy bayless, there numbers as starters are pretty much the same, and dragic isn't a difference maker when it comes to wins and losses

you could argue jsoe helps win games more than dragic does because jose makes players around him better

i think the guy is lowry, is more of floor general and a leader

i would rather stick with jose and bayless and draft pangos in the draft next season or myck kabongo

no his dad was athe president, all the basketball moves were made by bryan colangelo, he was the one who drafted amare, marion, nash, traded for barbosa, traded for joe johnson, and made a monster

problem here was bryan had early success, plus he was forced my ownership to build around bosh

after Bosh left is where the real work started, this summer so far hasnt been good for us, but Raptors are still developing

bc's draft in toronto

bargnani, derozan, ed davis, jonas valanciunus, and t ross

thats pretty good,

this season may be a last chance year. Ownership is being restructured. I would think there are going to be some serious analyses and reviews of all ML$E teams. Personally i think Colangelo has really lost his touch these last few seasons. Guy came in here with a plan and was quick to put it in place. Over time his team have just gotten worse and worse to the point where now it looks like he just throws things against the wall and hopes that something sticks. He obviously has the rest of the summer to work with and who knows maybe something will stick. I wouldn't count on it though.

It looks like the ship may have sailed on the pgs we wanted. Im hoping that BC is shopping for one of the SFs we have been waiting for. Also, we know what Calderon brings to the table as our starting PG, I'd say give Bayless the reigns at the start of the year and see what he can do with the team.

I agree. His vision hasn't worked here for 7 years, he should already be fired in my opinion. He was bending over backwards just to sign a 37 year old point guard... he needs to wake up & stop destroying the franchise for a deal that hasn't even taken place.

That's your observation from the outside looking in. As valid as any. Is BC's time coming to an end? Maybe, maybe not.
