should demar derozan develop at an incredible speed and become one of the best defensive sg's in the league and Bargs also continues to show an upside, i feel the raps can at least compete to get to conference finals, if not the championship game.

this is all in a dream situation though and i do not expect DD to come good this season or possibly the season after that.

Thunder should have been number 1 there.

considering the age of the players on the roster is a major factor, but there are other factors behind this
what kind of contracts do these core young players have with the team? could they leave the team within the next 1-2 years and basically make the next 5 years thing completely different
how good are the young guys on the team? do they all just play the same position? what is their potential growth? are they vets on the team that can maintain their high level with the team the next 5 years? can they help the young players?
i think the Raptors have a higher ranking because they have youth, but a lot of their youth include guys like bosh, bargs, which are young but a lot of their skills are already on display and not just potential, potential is a basically a kinder word for gamble
the Raptors have a lot of players that are more secure in their roles and skills

as for Raptors winning a championship, its still pretty slim because you can almost guarantee a team coming out and trading for a bunch of stars and getting stars cheap in the FA, like the celtics did, thats like the instant win method and is very possible with all these storied franchises that players like to go to
