Three-way deal bringing Bosh to Bulls?

The Amare Stoudemire trade talk still has the Bulls among the teams most involved, but a new scenario making the rounds has the Bulls taking part in a three-team deal that would bring Toronto Raptors star Chris Bosh to Chicago. The rumored swap would send Stoudemire to Toronto and land the Phoenix Suns a package of players and draft picks from the Bulls, likely to include Drew Gooden and his expiring $7.2 million contract, Tyrus Thomas and a first-round pick.

Bosh rumor gains steam :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Bulls

Now that the Suns are looking to go back to their running style, they won't be as eager to move Amare as has been posted recently. I dont' see him going anywhere.

Yup

Sources: Stoudemire likely to stay

Just out of curiosity...How many years are left on Amare's contract...and for how much money?

it expires in 2010 just like Bosh and he makes about $500k more. They both have player options for 2010-11.

Why is Bosh / Toronto involved?

Why not get a player who is basically the same but much less likely to stay in 2010?? It's genius.

MangoKidHoops 02-17-2009 11:47 AM

Not a fan of this deal. I can't see Amare sticking around after his contract is up next season. For Chicago, this is just pie in the sky dreams.

Its such a treadmill move. I like Amare and everything but he isn that much of a better player than Bosh if he is at all. Its debateable, but who cares because hes more likely to bolt than Bosh and he doesnt add anything further besides being a beast in the playoffs.

If we're going to trade Bosh it needs to be for a swingman or sg who has STAR potential or a guy whos already at that level. I dont want to trade him in the first place but if its gonna happen it should be for like Young Speights and a 1st.

jeffb 02-17-2009 12:54 PM

If Bosh gets moved we need to get another young All-star, a bench player (SG preferably) and 1st rounder.Anything less would be stupid.

+Speights/1st is certainly not enough imo.

Ugo Ferst 02-17-2009 12:55 PM

Who would give a young allstar and a 1st + a bench for Bosh?? lol you slag on him all the time then want the world for him?? Make up your mind lol young allstar, bench and 1st wow lol

I slag him all the time? Are you high?

Plus that deal is about the going rate for a young All-star like bosh.

Bosh(young All-star) for (young All-star/filler/1st). Unless we get an All-star in return we better get 3 good young players + draft pick for Bosh.

Ugo Ferst 02-17-2009 01:02 PM

why do we only trade bosh and get young allstar + bench +1st, why wouldnt they want the bench + 1st, hell BC will throw you a 1st rounder if you throw in a coffee.

Young allstar? Young isnt an allstar. Hes a very good young player whos in his 2nd year who looks like hes on a Tayshaun Prince type career path, and Speights at this point is a prospect who looks like he has some potential to become at least a very good player off the bench. The 1st right now is a mid round pick. If anything Toronto is getting ripped in this deal because Speights is unproven and the young vs bosh comparison isnt close. Philly would take that deal in a heartbeat, Toronto on the o ther hand would not.

I insult Bosh a lot because he talked a good game and wanted to be the top player and has never reached that level, so I talk about him as if he were a franchise guy, and as that franchise guy he is failing, thus the criticism. I've said many times you put a good team around him and youll see the change in not only his game but our team overall, which is why Id much rather trade Bargs while his value is high because IMO its not going to work between the 2, and Bosh is and likely always will be the much better player.

Ugo Ferst 02-17-2009 01:56 PM

i was talking to Jeff lol

Ball Don't Lie 02-17-2009 01:59 PM

Well then...

If he was talking about say Butler and their 1st then maybe hes in the right...

He should come up with a specific trade idea, because young allstar and 1st is really too general. Joe Johnson and a 1st IMO wouldnt be enough because its a 20th pick.
