Raptors Three options

TL mentioned on the fan, 3 options they are looking at. Which do you want?

I'm all for winning now, but with this draft coming up in 2014...it's very tempting to endure another season of Raptorness to snag one or two of those players.

Build on the fly... but then again whats the difference between the 2nd and 3rd options lol
a season without Bargnanni should be a pretty good one

I want to blow it up personally. I know it's been said plenty of times but there is no way we beat Miami or Oklahoma with the team we have now.

Option 2 is a poorly phrased option. To acquire big pieces means you have to use pieces from the current core, so you can't add those big pieces to the "current core". The big pieces should replace the departing pieces and make the core better.

Depends...if big piece means a star player who can help us contend then obviously that but I don't think we have assets to get that kind of player. Hence my vote for blow it up

This is what he said the options are. Maybe not word for word. But essentially:

1) Blow it up
2) Speed it up by making a big aquisition or two
3) Combination of the two above options (couple solid trades while still adding young pieces)

I put build on the fly, I really don't want to tank unless its planned out smart. We suck at tanking

The 2nd option really shouldn't be there...what big piece do we have a shot at getting? Our shot at getting a top 15-20 player is lower than our shot at the no. 1 pick next year, which is pretty unlikely in itself

We could trade Rudy Gay and our 1st for a top 5 1st round
Trade Lowry our 2nd and Bargs for a top 20 pick
Sign Chris Paul
Trade Fields for a 2nd rounder
Sign Kyle Korver

Paul/Free Agent
DeRozan/Ross
(Wiggins/Parker)/Korver
Vonleh/Johnson
Valanciunas/Oden

Under the cap and on to a better future

So, trade 40mil in salary + 2 picks for 3 picks?

Even if that were the slightest bit possible, you believe CP3 would come here with that roster? I'm going to guess you're kidding around.

I don't understand how build on the fly has 6 votes. Those who voted for it, do you realize BC has been building on the fly for the last 7 years? Look how that turned out.

Simple- MU is not BC. Listen to the presser. Masai wants the back end of the roster to be for young players to be developed. So no more JL3's, Michael Pietrus's, Alan Anderson's, Sebastian Telfair's, Linus Kleiza's - players who don't have development potential, but are more "finger in the dike" kind of players. That's BC's way of building on the fly. Instead you'll get more Quincy Acy's, Terrence Ross's, and get them playing time to develop. That's Ujiri's way to build on the fly.-

That's also the clue to whether Casey will be retained- how does he see the roster and who would he play?

Either be a top team or be one of the worst team. Building on the fly to me puts Toronto in the middle pack of teams again for a few years. Being in the middle sucks.

Either make a huge impact trade or go to tank mode. What sucks though is, Toronto should have been in tank mode the past few years.
