What do you think guys?

Quote:
4. Jamario Moon, Raptors (6)
Moon has become a minutes sponge for the Raps, due to his defense and aggressive work on the boards. And unlike the next guy on this list, he always finds a way to contribute offensively, too.

Jamario Moon is starting to "pull the string" on his shot too often -- meaning he is not getting full extension on his follow-through. That is one reason why he has posted back-to-back double-figure scoring games only once this season.

Can't really say I disagree with him. And Horford EASILY deserves to be the number one spot. That kid in a few years will give Bosh and Howard a run for their money as the best PF's in the East. Looks like Atlanta finally got that low post presence they've been searching for since well ever.

if moon could be a more consistant scorer, he'd be dominating.
any given night he puts up big rebounding numbers, along with a healthy dose of blocks and steals... without breaking a sweat.
if he could score in double digits too, he'd be insane...

i love this kid!

Yep - he needs to be more active around the bucket yet, slashing, and getting putbacks.

If moon were to ever slash and consistently hit open jumpers then the Marion comparsions AREN'T too far off.

As good as Moon was this year added minutes and opponent attention is starting to slow his progress... lets hope he can improve his shooting and continue to impress...

Moon makes a major impact on the game with his defence and rebounding, especially at a position that historically didn't provide either for this team. Along with Delfino, he has made the Raps that much tougher on the defensive end, and that makes any offensive contributions from him very much secondary, IMO. However, I'd rather see him playing in the paint than trying to create his own shot on the perimeter.

Good call Mike, at least if he were closer to the paint it would also increase his chances to get to the free throw line which as a team we need to get too more often besides Bosh. Until Moon hits that long distance shot on a consistant basis, I'd like to see more slashing and more post play from Jamario. Other than his shot I'm very confident when he's on the floor. Just hoping that the long minutes doesn't catch up to him eventually.

Well... right now Mitchell doesn't have a choice. Without Bosh, Bargs AND Garbo (remember, he was in a regular rotation all last season), our 4-5 rotation consists of Rasho, Hump and Moon - and someone needs to play athletic threes as well! Smitch played Graham and PF and Moon at C against Bobcats for a while, and it even worked somewhat since (at least to me) it has been proven that Graham IS an undersized power forward a la Corliss Williamson.

Id like to see Moons offense get better as well almost to the point where I root for his personal development then that of the team on the floor sometimes. If he can start hitting that jumper more consistently and work on his ball handling and learn to create for himself it will make him a very deadly player. At 27 I wonder how much his offense will grow and I wonder what he will be like offensivley at the end of this year. His Defence already has me in heaven so far.

From what I've read he has a pretty polished offensive game, but he's not forcing anything and slowly acclimating himself to the NBA game.
