Why can't Kapono be as effective as Ray-Ray? Seriously!

I love how barely no one cared to criticize Parker and his piss poor effort on both ends of the floor.

Nope, just that Jose lost the game for us yesterday.

Good call Doc.

And as far as Kapono playing like Allen, there is no way Kapono can use screen like Allen, foot speed is severly lacking.

He was giving effort Doc, he just sucks. AP has to play fantastic, to be decent in this league. An average night from AP won't get it done as a starting two guard in the NBA.

AP is a outmatched offensive minded player, trying to be a shutdown defender because this team has no other options at his position.

1. He's not going to outscore any decent two guard in this league.
2. He's not going to make any good offensive two guard in this league uncomfortable on the defensive end.

So how the hell has Toronto not had one athletic two guard, with some hunger, come through town and say, I want that starting job, and I'm going to take it.

Where is the internal competition! Desire and athleticism, with a bit of an edge is all it would take.

I love AP, he competes, and he's a good guy. But that 2 spot should be up for grabs if only we had some young athletes to compete for it.

He went 2-12 from the field... after an awful game like that, I hope he can bounce back with a better game tonight.

I think we now realize that AP should not be starting. He would be tremendous off the bench. It's unfortunate that we have to keep starting him cuz he's one of our best swingmen.

What are you talking about PB? We had Hassan Adams.

I still recall some threads this past summer where people were actually suggesting Adams to start at SG in place of Parker.

But yes, AP's all class and the effort is there but he's really is starting to show his age right now.

There's only two possible outcomes after today's rematch with Boston.
a) It's a close game and we steal a win.
b) We get blown out by 20.

injured or not jose still can't guard anybody and can't look to his left on offense
we still suck when we have to play decent to good teams
we'll get killed tonight because this game KG and pierce will be bigger factors in the game because it is home for the celtics

I learned that Jamario Moon = Rally killer.

Barney hits a big 3 to bring them within 5 points, they get a stop on defence and the place is just rockin. They come down court and Moon jacks up a 3 and clanks it. I was literally yelling at the TV when he was setting up for that shot. He should never have taken that shot. The Raps had no chance after that.

I was at the game, 10 dollar tickets.

Was AP even playing? Cause I don't remember seeing him.

And Jay lost us the game. A 5,6 min leash to Will to do nothing???? Wayyy too long.

Sam wouldn't allow it.

When will was on the floor, we played 4 on 5. He didn't even pretend like he wanted to attack or score, he was pure crap.

Jose wasn't great, but wasn't our problem, AP didn't show up, Bosh wasn't there, and everyone was scared of that fucking big baby asshole.

I got a new respect for Joey, he played like he wanted to win, the same cannot be said for Bosh, at least in the 1st half.

naww man, I wouldn't blame him for taking it. He took it, believing he was gonna make it. I respect that. He was in the flow, making plays, playing D, I respect that, we didn't lose the game in the 4th quarter man, look beyond that. We lost when Bosh decided not to show up in the 1st half.

there were at least 3 other players on the floor that should be taking a 3 before Jamario - he should be driving or at least getting in alot closer for the J. a 3 wasn't even critical at that moment. Long range is not his strength by any stretch of the imagination.

With almost 8 minutes to go, Ray picks up his 5th PF and no plays to force him to foul out. We need that crafty player with enough smartness to recognize this opportunities. It's part of the game and against good teams any small detail matters.

I agree we dodnt lose the game because of him but disagree with the moon shot. He just should not be shooting 3's with his percentage when you have higher % shooters around you in a tight game, especially with Moon where is isnt realy a streaky shooter, he's more consistent, around 30 someodd percent from 3 point range. You dont see him like JK who can hit 10 in a row and then miss 10 in a row the next game. JK I would accept shooting it if he was in the flow, but not Moon.

in a perfect world, you are 100% right.

but trust me when I tell you that no coach can bitch to Jamario for taking that shot. he was playing D, he worked his ass off, and he was feeling it, you gotta let your players make some decisions, Moon shouldve been smarter, but trust me that Jay won't tell him why he took it, you just can't.

as we have seen all season long, the Raptors are seldom getting the call. this team has consistantly had LESS home court calls than any other team i have watched in the past few years. Surely at least one of those hacks on Bosh was a foul, but we get a no call, then a touch foul on parker or kapono who just don't understand why they can get pounded at the other end and not get a call. i won't bitch about the refs here, but i figured the Raptors just don't bother to try as they won't get the call any how.

The players lost us the game, not Jay.

And as for Mitchell's short leash, typically he has his 'go to guys' (mainly starters) and a short leash on everyone else - Bargnani, Graham, etc.

A more realistic scenario would be Ukic coming in, scoring 4 points then blowing a defensive cover on Rondo and getting the quick hook, so Soloman could close out the final 8 minutes of the 4th quarter, whatever his performance was.

As for Bosh, he has had a serious and chronic case of butterfingers the last 5 games. So many balls he dribbled or literally threw out of bounds the other night.
