I hate hockey, mostly beucase of how much is covered here in toronto, while basketball is compleatly left out. Shit, they have been going non stop on TSN for over a month with their trade dealine roundtable, and so far 8 trades have been made. I HATE HOCKEY!

I understand that. And i was a hockey fan for all my life until recently, when i finally got sick and tired of the overhyped bullshit media coverage/personalities. But what i'm saying is, do we need to watch 30 guys on 3 stations fumbling around for 10 straight hours waiting for deals to come through. 10 Fuckin' hours?? Why not have a 2 hour wrap up at the end of the day? My girlfriend couldn't believe it last year when they were on at 7a.m. waiting for deals to come accross the wire on 3 networks and nothing happened for the first 2 hours. So they sat there hugging their blackberries. If you or anyone else just sits back and looks at it...it's silly.

You might not like it, but I friggin love it. Out of all the 4 major sports, only hockey has the excitemement of deadline day. Basketball there are rarely deals that go down at the wire, trades rarely occur in football and baseball pales in comparison.

its not silly at all actually.
tsn, sportsnet.... they are probably kicking ass in ratings right now and are dancing in all the money they are making with millions of tv's tuned in all day long.
10 hours of trade line coverage is probably a ratings bonanza for these stations.

and this being the 5th or 6th year in a row... thats a testiment right there and just shows that they are making money. if they werent making money, they'd just run their regularly scheduled programs. but since a lot of people are tuned in, they are giving these people what they want.
you my friend, are in the minority. canada=hockey country. its no surprise.
