Ed had his heart here and Colangelo broke it,but had a tough call coming up related to contract extension talks regarding Davis and his pending restricted free agency status. What is he worth, what do you offer him on average yearly?

i hope he gets lots of burn with Grizz, would hate to see his potential go to waste.

Pape Sow as well.... nobody will. Jose played for 8 years here, Ed not even three. Don't lick his ass like he's going to put you up in a classy hotel for when he's in town.

Good luck to both. We have enough depth to absorb the loss of their talents.

I agree..... would he have gotten more than Amir? Would he have gotten 10M per? He easily could have been overpaid or paid essentially at his value but it was very likely he was no longer going to be a bargain. That's asset management.... finallly.

As much as I liked what Ed was bringing, and how he was able to string together 20 or so good games. It's not going to be a huge loss if Amir can pick up the slack for a few more minutes. Amir got the nod at the end of games anyways over Ed, so the faith of the coach was with Amir to begin with. Ed may have a bit more upside, but he seemed to lack the size today. Amir will play a big role in making this trade either good or great on the court. I think we also forget that we have a developing Jonas who will be a force in the post one day. Most of Ed's quality games were without Jonas being there so his minutes were set to be reduced, let alone Bargs back.

How about trading an expiring as opposed to losing him for nothing.

agreed.... Colangelo is doing some nice things... and his plan to get a stud three has finally materialized. My guess is we make a run and he stays. Things haven't been this bright since Garbo and Joey were leading us to the playoffs.
