I'm glad that Davis's dad is happy with Davis being in Toronto. I remember when he got drafted here, he wasn't too thrilled. The one thing that don't like about the article is it said Davis is a C, I would hate for him to become a C, he looks like he can become a really good PF.

I'd love him to grow an inch or two and become a Huge ass Center who sends shot flying from everywhere.

Does he still have room to grow height wise? I know during college Scottie Pippen grew up to 6'8 ish before being drafted. Can Davis still grow? If he can then bye Bargs, hello Davis at C

Love this. If he can come back with more weight, maybe we can play him at the 5 occasionally. Indirectly gives Amir more playing time.

I like the Amir/Ed tandem down low.

They are a strong rebounding duo.

One thing the Raptors did improve on this season is the rebounding. We actually got a lot of offensive rebound opportunities and avoided nights where we got crushed on the glass.

+1

Thats true. Plus when they're on the floor together our defense is grittier and much better. Plus we're a lot of tougher with Amir and Ed down low. Both of them are fearless and have swag.

Ed is a legit 6'10. If he can bulk up and improve conditoning wise, he can definatley play C for us short term until we find a legit C.

I hope we re-sign Reggie Evans. I can't help but think he acted as a mentor to both Amir and Ed

Hopefully we see Ed around 240 pounds next season. Then eventually around 250 in the distant future.

i only hope the guy doesn't spend all his time in the weight room and no time in the gym developing his skills
if he ends up being 1 of those guys that struggles to put on pounds then he'll waste the whole off-season
if he can bulk up and work on his FTs and the 15 foot jump shot then i'll be happy with him coming in next season because on this current team his role is still shot blocking, rebounding and loose ball points, we don't need him to develop too much offensively at a time, but if he can then all the better

Weight lifting hurts jump shot a bit. And dont forget muscles grows when they are rest. So he needs smart schedule, because it can be worthless. And then off course, nutrition...

I think with everything you guys mentioned, he'll have a good offseason bulking up and developing the right way. With his dad mentoring and the coaching staff there with him, I don't think he'll have any problems. So if he's legit 6'10 in shoes is he 6'11? Then it would be fine for him to play C and Amir at PF. His only problems would come against 7 footers like Chandler or athletic bruising bigs like Perkins, Howard, Juan Horward, Anthony, Okafor etc. What I would like to see is him get more comfortable with his right hand. This season he mostly finished with his left since he's a natural lefty. By next season, players will probably force him right so developing that right hand and being able to finish and go right will help him. The sooner the better.

Although I'm sorta ok with him playing C with Amir at PF, I'd rather want a true C at the 5

along with the muscle gain, i would like him to develop a mid range shot too. just imagine what he could become if he can accomplish these things
